79: Lladro La Maja Head Bust Sculpture (4668)

This stunning and rare large Lladró head of La Maja (Spanish: The Woman) was designed by Juan Huerta. Finely hand-crafted with a glazed finish, this porcelain bust of a woman with her hair held by two roses was issued in 1969 and retired in 1985. The figurine has a white, gray, brown and pink colorway, with her hair painted in a multitude of subtle earth tones. Sculpted, painted, and finished by hand in Valencia, Spain. 80: Lladro Little Girl Sculpture Bust Figurine 2024

This is a beautiful and rare large Lladró bust of a Little Girl produced in 1971 and designed by Fulgencio Garcia. It was modeled with heavy colorful glazes and features with a Gres Finish, which gives the piece a warm, earth-like tonality and matte finish. Retired in 1985, it was sculpted, painted, and finished by hand in Valencia, Spain ; Size: 13”H x 10.5”W

This delightful pair of glazed Lladró figures of a boy and girl proudly display their Union Jack British flags. The boy is glazed, and hand decorated with brown hair, green eyes, a light grey shirt, dark grey trousers, brown and grey sneakers, and walks on a patch of lush foliage, reminding us of that Green and Pleasant Land. The girl, who is dressed in a playful pink and white sun dress with baby blue shoes, likewise strolls purposefully, her hand reaching out to touch the boy’s (he’s having none of it!), swinging in time to the music of a Remembrance Day Parade, and modeled walking through a hand-painted green shrub. Although produced in 2011, they are modeled with decidedly 1980s fashions and hairstyles, evoking the Young British Royals at the time of the wedding of the Prince of Wales to Princess Diana. This beautifully decorated Lladró Nao porcelain figure of a Boy Reading a Book watching over a mother sheep and lamb evokes a pastoral English countryside setting, with an ivy-covered tree and meadow, and the boy modeled as if he stepped out of an Edwardian school adventure, like Christopher Robin from the stories of A.A. Milne and Winnie-the-Pooh. The entire model is painted in a soft palette of earth tones, light grey and white. Marked ‘Lladró Hand Made in Spain’ and other potters marks ; Size: 10.75”H

This is a beautifully decorated Lladró glazed figure of Miguel Cervantes’ literary character Don Quixote. The fantasy-chasing Lord of La Mancha was depicted by artist Salvador Furió wearing a battered helmet and holding a sword in one hand and a cape in the other.
