The Call to Worship....................................Lyceum Council of Elders
Before we pray our prayers of confession, it is good to ask the Lord what He wants us to confess. Often our confession deals with surface issues when there may be deeper causes the Lord wants to expose and expunge.
Diaconates Ministry Leading the Worship
Taking the time to be quiet before the Lord and asking Him to probe deeper into our hearts make confession much more liberating. In the subject above, are the steps to eternal salvation. We are told - “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (I John 1:8). This a reference to the indwelling principle rather than the acts of sin. You must remember the strength of the Lord flows through a clean channel. Sometimes the channel is blocked by inner resistance or unexamined motives the Lord wants to remove.

The word “confess” literally means “to speak the same thing.” In Greek, it is (homologeo) homos, “same”; (lego), “to speak.” It implies to give assent, be in accord, agree with and declare openly. Thus, authentic confession to the Lord is telling Him what He has told the saints we need to confess.
An Extended Welcome… (Parish members & Visitors) ……… Diakona {Intercessory Prayer for Special Needs} Choir Selection………………………………………………….....Voices of Unity
We should pray for the Lord to show us ourselves, expose any hidden sin and debilitating attitudes, any subtle resistance to His will. In our silence before the Lord, things will come to us that we would not have thought of.
Sermonic Gospel Message Bishop Dr. Wm. LaRue Dillard, Preaching “STAND FIRM, SUITED IN YOUR ARMOR” (Ephesians 6:14)
The reason for the saints’ weakness in worship and ministry through the Lord’s church is that we fail to confess to Him our debilitating sins with an aim to walk in holiness, freedom and power. When we confess what the Lord has placed His finger on and put on our hearts to do, the flow of His power returns to us for a victorious life in Him. Spend as much time asking the Lord what to confess as you spend confessing. Amen Until He Comes, I Am Servicing Christ Joyfully U|á{ÉÑ WÜA jÅA _teâx W|ÄÄtÜw? Parish Under-shepherd
