Bishop’s Epistle

February 26, 2017 “YOUR RESURRECTION AFTER DEATH!” (I Corinthians 15:20-26)

Sons and Daughters of Christ, Grace to you! What is your biblical understanding in relation to your personal resurrection following your death? To know, means all the difference in the world, for it is a reference to your eternal destiny. The Bible says: “Now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of them that have fallen asleep” (I Corinthians 15:20).

Christ’s resurrection is an earnest prototype of resurrections to come, as taught in Leviticus 23:9-14. The word “resurrection” from a Greek word “Anastasi” means rising up out of.” It is no more remarkable that the saints should live again than that we should live at all.

The Welcome to Congregants and Visitors------------------Diakona

If you would think of the bewildering complexity of the human body and the even more intricate workings of the human personality to see that “we are indeed----fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14) the God who can make us once can certainly make us again.

First Corinthians 15, has eschatological significance for the saints. For we shall live eternally with the Lord Christ because of our Spirit Baptism into the family of God.

Acknowledgement/Announcements--------Dr. Precious Flemings Jubilee Commission

The Christian’s resurrection belief is a fundamental belief. Apart from it the Word of God is a falsehood; the work of Jesus Christ is a failure and the witness of the Spirit is a farce. In other words, exaggerated and overstated.

Highlights on African American History ---------Chosen Vessels

For the saints, it is a factual belief. The proof of it is the resurrection of Jesus, the Christ and the prospect of it is the church being “caught up” (raptured). It is our fervent belief, the song of the raptured saints: “O death where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” (I Corinthians 15:55). It is also the song of the departed but raptured saints. Amen Until He Comes, I am Serving Christ Joyfully, U|á{ÉÑ WÜA jÅA _teâx W|ÄÄtÜw Parish Under-shepherd
