Bishop’s Epistle July 11, 2017 CHRISTIAN YOUTH EXCHANGING VIEWS ON THEIR WALK WITH GOD! Young Christians, Grace to you!

This is my message to you. The Bible says: “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (I Timothy 4:12).

CHRISTIANS ARE TWICE-BORN AND THEREFORE HAVE NO FEAR OF DEATH! The Call to Worship--------------------------------Lyceum Council of Elder

Your focus should be on your defenses against the danger in the world around you verses 6-16 of this passage. I hope that this First Annual Youth Conference has been a source of help in your search for spiritual leaders. Has your search been for someone who will give you a sense of direction in your life?

God is calling you. The only question is, “Will you truly answer His call personally?” It is the same call given in Matthew 4:19, “Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

THE LORD’S CALL TO SEPARATION 1) Separate from the PLACES of sin, read about it in I John 2:15-17. The love of the world or worldliness.

2) Separate from the PEOPLE of sin (III Corinthians 6:17). Your friends and acquaintances can influence you.

3) Separate from PRACTICE of sin (I Timothy 5:22). Keep yourself pure!

4) Separate PURITY from sin (I Thess. 5:22). Stay away from what’s wrong.

5) Separate by PURGING from sin (II Corinthians 7:1). Cleanse yourself!

6) Separate from PLAYING with sin (Proverbs 6:2, 28). Sin always leaves marks.

Separate from the POWER of sin (Romans 12:2). Make your choice. Don’t join with worldliness. Because of: THE LORD’S CALL TO SURRENDER 1) TIME is important (Psalm 90:12). Never waste your time in idleness. Include God in all you do (Ecclesiastes 12:1).

2) TALK - Every time you open your mouth, you show what is in your heart (James 1:19;1:26).

3) THOUGHTS - You are what you think. We should take on the mind of Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).

THE LORD’S CALL TO SACRIFICE - The Lord Christ speaks in Luke 9:23 about your: 1) DECISION---“If any man will come after Me.” There is a choice you make.

2) DENIAL--- “Let him deny himself” (Galatians 2:20).

3) DEDICATION---“And take up his cross daily” 4) DETERMINATION---“And follow Me” (Matt. 4:19).

THE CALL TO STAND AND SERVE – The Purpose, Power, and Problem.

Make up your mind to sincerely Worship, Work, and Witness for the Lord always. God is calling you today. Do you hear His voice? Are you living close to Him to hear His voice?

Sometimes we don’t hear His voice because we don’t care! Open your heart and allow Him to speak to you. Amen
