Ligature-Resistant Locksets Focusing On Life-Safety & Security Securitech’s Behavioral Healthcare Line was created in 2007 through a joint effort between Securitech, industry professionals, and the New York State Office of Mental Health. The industry was in desperate need of an ADA compliant solution that was also ligature resistant. Securitech’s Ligature Resistant hardware was reviewed by the VA National Center for Patient Safety Department and was quickly included in the VA’s Mental Health Environment of Care Checklist. Securitech’s Ligature Resistant Hardware has also been included in the National Association of Psychiatric Health System’s Design Guide for the Built Environment of Behavioral Health Facilities. Thousands of devices have been installed in VA Medical Centers, State Psychiatric Hospitals, and Private facilities across the country. Throughout the years, Securitech has met all the needs to secure behavioral health wards through a variety of functions and unique solutions. These offerings are laid out in this brochure, but this is only the start. The best solutions always come from the customer and Securitech is here to make those solutions happen.

Door Alarm Indicator System DAISY™: Over-the-Door Alarm

DAISY™ | Applications Patient Door Notification System

DAISY™ Door Alarm Indicator System: Multi-Doors

Swinging doors present an opportunity for patients to harm themselves. Securitech created alarm sensors for doors which notify staff when there is an attempt to cause harm at the door. The aesthetic, curved design resembles applied molding and supports the concept that visible hardware should support the serene environment. Related consoles, key switches, strobes, and other peripheral items enable the creation of complete notification systems. While there is no replacement for continuous observation, Securitech’s DAISY™ is a useful tool to aid the nursing staff.

Seclusion Room Locking

Seclusion Room | Applications Temporary Patient Containment

What is the Seclusion Room Lock?

Quiet or Seclusion Rooms require effective locking solutions to withstand the force of a patient attempting to break out of the room. Different levels are available. Multi-point locking spreads the force across the door and frame at top, center and bottom of the door, and is best suited for environments with adults and large children. Single-point deadbolt locking would be acceptable with smaller or less potentially violent patients. Local code requirements should be consulted prior to the installation of any quiet room lockset. Latches are not recommended on these doors in order to prevent accidental locking in a room.

Multi-Point Locking • 3-Point locking keeps door secure and resists violent patients • Stainless steel deadbolts with 1” throw • Surface mounted or concealed models • Concealed models require factory door preparation • Surface models can be retrofitted to existing doors

Supervised Or Unsupervised Models

• Lockable keyed model for use where code allows • Constant supervision model requires staff member presence at door at all times Lower Horizontal Deadbolt
