1) How long does a bar last?

The lifespan of our full-size soap bars depends on the frequency of use as well as if the recipient is using the bar for body washing or strictly handwashing.

Below is a general guide:

4 - 5 weeks of hand-washing (personal use)

3 - 4 weeks of full-body washing (personal use)

Note: To prolong the life of the soap, a soap dish with proper drainage is recommended. Drainage allows the soap to dry properly between uses so the soap will stay firm.

2) What are the ingredients?

All Botanical PaperWorks cold process soap includes:

Aqua (Water), Sodium Cocoate (Coconut Oil), Sodium Canolate (Canola Oil), Sodium Sunflowerate (Sunflower Oil), Sodium Olivate (Olive Oil), Sodium Shea Butterate (Shea Butter), Glycerin, Sodium Castorate (Castor Oil), Sodium Lactate, Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract

Various essential oils are also used for scented bars and clay is used for coloring. See PG 11 for individual product ingredient lists.

3) What is used for scenting?

Botanical PaperWorks uses essential oils that are free from synthetic aroma compounds.

4) Do you ship internationally?

Botanical PaperWorks soaps are currently available to ship to Canada and the U.S.

5) What appears on the label?

As per requirements:

• A full list of ingredients

• The name and address of the manufacturer (Botanical PaperWorks Inc.)

• Product name

• Product weight

• French (On Canadian labels only)

We have also included:

• Directions for use

• A caution message (to avoid contact with eyes and not ingest)

• Some key features (Palm oil free, Natural, Vegan, etc.)

• Prop 65 message (On American labels only)

Customers can add their own design or logo to our designated print zone, but the rest of the label will have this information added as per requirements. You will receive a digital proof of the full label that will require your approval before printing.

6) Are there any other fees?

A $35 artwork setup fee (per blend) will apply for customization of the seed paper soap bars label. This fee includes your digital proof that will require your approval before printing.

If you are purchasing more than one blend, you will require multiple labels and therefore may have 2 to 4 artwork setup fees applied.

A $50 artwork setup fee will apply to the Custom Branded Sample Sets.

7 ) How can I customize the soaps?

You can add a logo, artwork, or message to the designated print area on the seed paper belly band labels.

We are working towards offering custom stamping on the soap bars, however this add-on is not yet available at this time.

8 ) Can I order my own blend, color, or fragrance?

Due to the complexity of soapmaking and how various compounds might interact and change results, custom blends or colors are not available at this time.

9) What is the best soap for a variety of skin types?

Since these soap blends all have the same base ingredients, they are all comparable and work well for a range of skin types.

10) Where is it manufactured?

Botanical PaperWorks cold process soaps are 100% made in Canada in the same facility we make our seed paper products. We are located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

11) Does the soap have a shelf life?

The soaps will work best if used within 1 year of the date they are made. We recommend using it within 9 months of the date you receive it to account for its shelf life in our facility before shipping.

12) Do you test on animals?

Absolutely not. Our products are made with both the earth and its living creatures in mind.

14) Are the soaps vegan?

Yes! See our list of ingredients on PG 15.

15) What is the minimum order?

25 bars (per blend).

16) What are the lead times?

25 – 100 bars: Will ship 3 – 5 business days from artwork approval.

101 – 200 bars: Will ship 5 – 10 business days from artwork approval.

201 – 500 bars: Will ship 3 – 4 weeks from artwork approval.

501+ bars: Please inquire.

17) Does the soap meet regulatory requirements?
