Setting Goals for Implementation
Actions for Implementation Success
1. Identify how you will use Seesaw in your school or district.
2. Set goals for engagement around your focus areas.
3. Enable and encourage teacher, student, and family usage.
4. Monitor progress and celebrate success.
Focus Areas
Administrators support their school and district initiatives by centering Seesaw implementation around key focus areas.
Determine your Focus Area(s):
● Browse the Seesaw Impact Report to hear testimonials from other educators and school leaders about the impact of Seesaw on their school community.
● Align your goals to 1-2 Seesaw Focus Areas and explore product features that support your implementation.
Reflection Questions
● How do we want Seesaw to support our instructional vision for this year?
● What is the desired end-of-year outcome of our Seesaw implementation?
● How and when will Seesaw be used?
Goal-Setting
Once you have determined your focus areas for Seesaw implementation, set goals to monitor progress towards success.
Set an Engagement Goal
Teachers who log in to Seesaw at the start of the school year are more likely to make Seesaw an integral part of their classroom. It is recommended to set a short-term goal such as teacher logins to monitor via the Engagement Dashboard and set the school year up for success.
Sample metrics to monitor:
● Student posts created each month.
● Student posts that include voice or video recordings.
● Activities taught (by school or class)
● Student posts visited by a family member.
● Family members that have logged in.
Monitor Progress Towards Goals
Use the Engagement Dashboard to monitor progress towards your goals. Log in to your administrator dashboard and select the Engagement Analytics tab.
By ___ (date), ___ teachers have logged in to Seesaw.

Seesaw also reports out key analytics that correlate to teacher, student, and family engagement.
It is recommended to choose at least 1 to 2 metrics that align with your goals and Seesaw focus areas to monitor throughout the school year.
Reflection Questions
● What are our potential barriers to reaching our goals and how will we address them?
● How will we communicate our implementation goals to educators?
● Who is leading the charge to monitor and celebrate progress towards our goals?
