Go back in time with Scoop, History Detective, to answ about the past and how it has shaped our present-day world. Leverage students’ natural curiosity to investigate key historical events, people, and places in US History. Students dig deep into each topic with exploratory and hands-on activities that build foundational ELA and Social Studies skills.

Best Practices

Springboard a unit of study. Watch the instructional video whole class or in small groups to introduce a new topic. Consider stopping the video at key moments to discuss, question, assess, or make connections with previous learning and students’ experiences. Replay the video as many times as students need.

Flexibly deepen or extend learning. Activities reinforce what students are learning in class. Kindergarten and first grade students can complete assignments with whole class instruction or support of an adult, while second graders will feel ready for more independent practice or can work with a partner.
