Math Meadow helps students to develop a strong number early on. Our math lessons focus on counting and cardinality, measurement, shapes and more. Students get to practice these concepts through both digital practice opportunities, as well as opportunities to find and identify shapes, numbers and quantities in the world around them!

Best Practices

Oral Justification: Encourage students to produce oral language in Math Meadow by verbalizing their math thought process and justifying their reasoning.

Concrete to Abstract: Math Meadow activities are most appropriate after direct instruction and practice of the mathematical skills with concrete manipulatives.

Flexible: Lessons can be taught whole group, small group or independently. Introduction: This works best as a whole class experience or in a teacher-led small group. Practice: This module will work great in a small group, or independently at centers or stations. Apply: This module can make a great partner activity or can be completed independently.
