and that Ride Share is an option and education them about Uber and Lyft and different ones that are out there. Hopefully, we will start seeing demand and then we will see more local drivers. It's a great opportunity for TLU students for folks like that are night owls and maybe they stay up late anyway and they are not drinking and they can go active on the Lyft or Uber apps and be available. He says just this past weekend, officers responded to a wreck involving a driver who had just left a local bar. He says the hit and run accident left one person injured and will probably be officially linked to alcohol. Nichols says his officers will also be on hand to remind folks to download and utilize a ride share app in advance and or to call upon their designated driver for a safe ride home.
"Kyle Kramm I think said it best, 'we don't know which comes first the chicken or the egg? Do we need the demand to get the drivers or can we have the drivers push the demand to use the rideshare if that's what we are talking about? So, I think our next steps are we are going to go out and partner with the bars downtown -we being the police department -and educate folks in the evening just spend a couple of hours at different establishments talking about how important it is from our perspective for people to get home safe so they

Guadalupe County Sheriff's Investigators search for more possible victims of local convicted sex offender ual assault of a child. Guadalupe County Sheriff's Investigators say Austin Oliver Lang, 24, was arrested on Friday after their investigation revealed that there was a probable cause to suspect an assault on a 15 year-old child here in the county.

They say Lang bonded out the same day he was arrested. He was being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond. Investigators, however, say they have continuing concerns for Lang as he is a previously convicted sex offender from Kansas. Due to that conviction, Lang is required to register as a sex offender here in Guadalupe County. This recent arrest they say demonstrates that Lang continues to re-offend despite his requirement to register as a sex offender. In the most recent case, Lang contacted his victim
through the application Snap Chat and has access to other social media sites as well. Sheriff's Investigators say they are also concerned that there is a possibility that Lang has other victims who have not yet reported their assault. The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office encourages anyone who is a victim or has information about any other victims of Austin Oliver Lang to contact the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office. They are asked to contact Investigator Robert Shockley at 830-379-1224 ext. 2268 or Robert.Shockley@co.guadalupe.tx.us. As always, anyone who has information regarding this investigation and wishes to remain anonymous, is asked to contact the Guadalupe County Crime Stoppers at 877-403-TIPS (8477). They can also submit a tip online at ww.gccsTIPS.com or via the P3 Tips App. All information received through Crime Stoppers is and will remain totally anonymous.

"A complete and accurate census count is essential for Seguin and the well-being of our community, said Jennifer Sourdellia, City of Seguin Public Information Officer. "Seguin could potentially lose millions of dollars in federal funding if we don't get a complete count.

Coronavirus Cases Top 1,000 In 37 States, 31 Deaths
Washington State To Restrict Large Gatherings
(Undated) -- The coronavirus is reaching yet another bitter milestone. There's now onethousand cases in 37 states, with at least 31 deaths. The hardest hit is Washington, where the first patient was announced almost three weeks ago. Since then, about 16 states have declared emergencies, schools have closed, employees have gone remote, events have been canceled and seniors have been told to stay home. Despite this, health officials stress the risk remains low.
(Olympia, WA) -- Washington State Governor Jay Inslee will ban large gatherings in hopes of slowing the spread of the coronavirus. Inslee will announce Wednesday that gatherings and events with more than 250 people will be prohibited in the Seattle area. The ban will not impact places like retail stores or schools. The coronavirus has hit Washington State particularly hard. Over 20 people have died in the state.
New Rochelle Mayor Comments On Containment Zone
Michigan Declares State Of Emergency After First Cases
(New Rochelle, NY) -- The mayor of New Rochelle in New York is commenting on his city being the largest hot spot for coronavirus in the country. Noam Bramson says the city will follow state recommendations for schools, temples and other buildings that hold large gatherings, to close within a mile containment area for two weeks starting Thursday. Bramson reiterated the National Guard is being brought in to assist with operational challenges and not for military or policing purposes. He added he understands the hardships the containment might have for families, but says it's best to do everything possible to make sure the virus doesn't spread.
(Lansing, MI) -- Michigan is the latest state to declare an emergency over coronavirus. This comes after the first two cases were confirmed and more are expected. Around 60 people have had testing approved and hundreds of others are being monitored. But the state has been preparing for two weeks. Governor Gretchen Whitmer even created four task forces including education and economy.
