(Seguin) – Here’s news that could bring some peace of mind to those with an outstanding traffic warrant. Law enforcement agencies and courts statewide, including the Seguin Municipal Court, are currently participating in the annual Texas Case Resolution Campaign.
Local law enforcement agencies are stepping up efforts to actively resolve outstanding cases beginning Monday, March 3, 2025.
The campaign is designed to target thousands of defendants with outstanding cases in participating jurisdictions including numerous
county, justices of the peace and municipal courts.
Under Texas Law, individuals appearing before a court and making a good faith effort to resolve outstanding Class C cases are afforded safe harbor and not subject to arrest.
Additionally, if a judgment is rendered against an individual who is unable to pay the judgment, the individual may request a judge to assess their ability to pay and offer alternative means to satisfy the judgment.

(Lubbock, TX) -- There is now one death linked to a measles outbreak in Texas. A spokeswoman for the city of Lubbock would not give details about the age of the victim. The latest numbers from the state show that there are at least 124 current cases. The vast majority are unvaccinated. The Department of Health and Human services says that 39 of the cases children under the age of four.
(San Diego, CA) -- The bird flu that has decimated the chicken population and driven up prices for things like eggs has now been found in a house cat in San Diego’s east county. The health department says the cat died after likely contracting bird flu from eating raw pet food. It is the first case of H5N1 reported in San Diego for 2025 after six gulls were found with bird flu in the county last year. There have been other cases of cats eating raw food or milk and contracting bird flu on the west coast in Washington, Oregon, and California, including Santa Barbara, San Mateo, and now San Diego.
(Washington, DC) -- The USDA is predicting a massive jump in egg prices this year. In an updated projection released this week, the agency said egg prices could increase 41-percent in 2025. This comes as a bird flu outbreak has caused a nationwide shortage. The latest projection is more than double what the USDA predicted for this year last month. The average price for a dozen eggs hit a record high of four-dollars-and-95-cents last month, but some shoppers are having to pay ten bucks or more.
(Kuwait City) -- Sleep deprivation can potentially worsen chronic inflammation. Researchers have found a link between poor sleep and immune cells that can drive inflammation associated with obesity and chronic disease. The study is published in full in The Journal of Immunology.
