COTOPAXI VOLCANO PRESS RELEASE 67 The Geophysics of the Polytechnic University reported that in the last 12 hours the Cotopaxi Volcano maintains a moderate level of internal activity and a low level of superficial activity. Yesterday evening, through satellite images, emissions of vapor and gas with a low ash content (heading westward) were observed. This morning, the emissions continue reaching up to 1000 meters above the crater, heading the same direction. No rain or ash falls have been reported in nearby sectors. Recommendations Students must stay attentive and follow instructions given by teachers and the main authority of the educational institution. In addition, they must carry an identification card with the following information: name of school, name and surname, grade, contact number of your guardian, phone numbers.
