Warm personal Greetings!

A Toast to the End of a challenging but overall successful Year

December, 2022

Dear Friends & Coeagues,

As we reflect on the year that is ending soon now, I want to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation for your support of the HoteliersGuild cause and for your input in our various initiatives.

You have been receiving our carefully curated content, expert insights, industry news and reports, LookBooks and FocusGroup insights over the past years which we truly hope you enjoyed.

I especially wanted to take a moment to reach out and reconnect with the many followers on LinkedIn who have not found the time to support our initiatives on a regular basis, to invite them once again to join our cause and give back to the industry we all hold so dear.

Admittedly, after the initial enthusiasm for our initiatives in '20/21, the year after the post-Covid period proved to be somewhat critical. Fortunately, our lives returned to a more regular routine, which also led to a realignment of the time management required for our various initiatives - which is all too understandable.

Nonetheless, I am very grateful for what we were able to achieve together during this challenging time, as throughout it all, we remained devoted to our mission to diversify, educate, support the environmental movement in our industry and finally successfully launched the SIRIUS ACADEM YAWARD campaign, curated by Preferred Hotels & Resorts with a most generous grant by Lindsey Ueberroth and the bountiful donations from our member hoteliers which were auctioned with the compliments of A Star Experience. I am convinced that this incredibly strong campaign together with our new strategic partner Study Access Alliance and in collaboration the IU-International University of Applied Sciences will be a great success, as the excellent results already published show. I would also like to thank the professors of the IU, Dr. Willy Legrand and Dr. David Rempel , for their valuable introductions and their personal commitment to this cause. And we are extremely grateful to our alliance partners 80DAYS, ARIGAMI, Lobster Experience and Artsy Africa for their invaluable professional pro bono PR & Marketing support which we of course remunerate in our own in-kind currency. And together with LUX*COLLECTIVE as our 2023 co-curator we will lift the SIRIUSACADEMYCAMPAIGN to the next level. It is so important to acknowledge the work of the HoteliersGuild LeadingHôtelières chapter under the first term Chairlady Xenia zu Hohenlohe in producing the first industry report, championed by Prof. Dr. Sowon Kim of EHL, together with her dedicated team of academics and the exemplary contributions from so many of our global members. We are happy and appreciative for any success, no matter how big or small, because this is the only way we can bring about real change in the true spirit of the HoteliersGuild. As we have managed to bundle

the expertise of so many internationally recognised experts from education, innovation, sustainability & conservation etc. etc. at our round tables, I would also like to take this opportunity to ask for your more active support, from endorsing and backing our media campaigns like e.g. BLLA, the International Hospitality Institute, LUX Resorts & Hotels to name just a few.

None of this would have been possible without their dedicated work and without your assistance in spreading the word, and I am immensely grateful for your support. Hopefully, you will continue to engage in our efforts to fulfil our mission.

What we are most passionate about is that all our partnerships are powered by mutual trust!

Thank you for your commitment to working with us, and all I can say at this point in time is that I really look forward to what we can and will achieve together in 2023 and beyond!

Wi

sincere gritude, Frank

Deeper luxury has always been at the forefront of innovation. The HoteliersGuild

LeadingHôtelières chapter was launched by an esteemed group of female executives who share a commitment to accelerate gender equality in the hospitality industry and elevate more women into leadership roles.

The collective expertise of our members is incredibly powerful, and we look forward to creating further momentum on a global scale by using the findings of our first year’s work to create and provide education, mentorship, and training in the areas that will have the most success in moving progress forward. I am proud to join together with fellow industry colleagues in championing this crucial cause and very excited to see what we can achieve in the years ahead.

Our industry has the power to change the world.

Iam honoured to be on the panel of the HoteliersGuild, and I want to thank Frank for the opportunity. I believe that hotel, or any business, must have a purpose beyond profit. The must play a greater role in the world beyond enriching their shareholders. By taking bold steps, we in the tourism industry can fundamentally redress the balance between business and communities, and shift back to the original purpose of the corporation as a service to society.

Iam delighted to be part of the growing number of women who are leading the way and making the hospitality industry a more inclusive place. Thank you, Frank, for allowing me the opportunity of being a member of the Hoteliers Guild. I hope that together we can continue to do good for the communities we operate in, while giving back to the planet.

The panel of HoteliersGuild is a great opportunity for our hospitality business to reflect on a few 'post-corona questions': Are we more philanthropic? Here we more cautious with things, people and ourself? Are we measuring time in a new manner? Here we closer to the sense of life? Is short distance trialling increasing local tourists?

Un caro saluto & grazie Frank!

I'm humbled and grateful to be a member of the HoteliersGuild panel and congratulate Frank and his team on the initiatives. My dream of hotel owners like myself can begin to incorporate some oor all of my sensible sustainable ideas into their hotels which will also save them money as well as benefit the environment and the communities in which they operate. Thank you so much, for this incredible honour and opportunity to be part of such a distinguished group of hoteliers and professionals. I feel deeply privileged and so appreciate being recommended by Xavier and Paul. I have read through the presentation and it really is such a wonderful concept and initiative with values and principles that we as a family and brand strongly believe in.

It's a great pleasure to accept my Honorary Ambassadorship with the HoteliersGuild and to join this society of people in our hospitality industry who I greatly admire. I am especially delighted to acknowledge the importance of sustainability and travel as a force for the good within your society.
