Based on insights presented in “The State of Tourism and Hospitality 2024" by McKinsey&Company's May 2024 Report
Indebted to a dedicated HoteliersGuild member who shared this report with me, I was thrilled to discover the unmistakable parallels to our DEEPERLUXURY philosophy. When I first read “The State of Tourism and Hospitality 2024” report only recently, it became clear how closely it aligns with the DEEPERLUXURY principles we started developing and integrating as a new HoteliersGuild chapter already in 2023. The report’s emphasis on sustainability, cultural preservation, wellness tourism, and innovative hospitality practices perfectly mirrors the core values and objectives we’ve embedded in DEEPERLUXURY, reaffirming our commitment to setting new standards for responsible and luxurious travel experiences.

in Sustainability: Connecting ‘The State of Tourism and Hospitality 2024’
As I reflect on the insights presented in “The State of Tourism and Hospitality 2024,” it becomes evident that our industry is undergoing profound changes. These changes resonate deeply with the core values and mission of the HoteliersGuild, especially our new DEEPER LUXURY chapter. Our initiative, EcoLuxNature, particularly through the Corippo Albergo Diffuso concept proposal, aligns seamlessly with the evolving landscape of tourism and hospitality. Let me take you through how our endeavors and the report’s findings intersect, creating a harmonious vision for the future.
“A Shared Vision: ‘The State of Tourism and Hospitality 2024’ and DEEPERLUXURY’s Path to Sustainable Excellence”
The 2024 report underscores the surge in sustainable travel, a trend that has always been close to my heart and forms the essence of our DEEPERLUXURY chapter. Sustainability has transcended from being a mere option to an absolute necessity. Our Corippo Albergo Diffuso concept proposal, intended as a blueprint for other EcoLuxNature developments, epitomizes this commitment.Nestled in the picturesque Swiss Val Verzasca, Corippo is set to become a beacon of sustainable tourism by adopting our concept. By integrating highly personalized ecofriendly practices, utilizing renewable energy sources, and
promoting local, sustainable cuisine, we aim to create a model that not only minimizes environmental impact but also enriches the guest experience.
Culture & Heritage: Preserving the Past, Enriching the Present
that preserving cultural heritage is essential for the future of luxury hospitality. The Corippo concept project exemplifies this commitment. By adding a Nature Yoga Spa and branded suites under the leadership of internationally renowned Italian architect Alberto Apostoli, we aim to enhance the Albergo Diffuso character of Switzerland’s smallest village. This project not only preserves Corippo’s historical architecture but also fosters a deep connection between guests and the local culture. Each guest room, scattered throughout the village, tells the story of Corippo’s rich history, offering guests an immersive and authentic experience.
Nature Wellness Spa/Health Tourism: A Sanctuary for the Soul
Health and wellness tourism is booming, and rightly so. The integration of wellness into hospitality is a natural progression, especially in today’s fast-paced world. Our vision for Corippo includes the creation of a Nature Wellness Spa, designed by the acclaimed Alberto Apostoli. This spa will harness the healing properties of natural elements, offering treatments that promote wellness and relaxation. By prioritizing sustainability, from eco-friendly materials to renewable energy sources, we aim to set a new standard for wellness tourism.
Workation & Gen-Z: Redefining Work and Leisure
The rise of remote work has blurred the lines between work and leisure, giving birth to the ‘workation’ trend. This is particularly appealing to Gen-Z travelers who seek flexibility and purpose in their journeys. Our Corippo concept project caters to this demographic by offering an environment that blends work and
relaxation seamlessly. Imagine working from a beautifully restored heritage home, surrounded by nature, and taking breaks to explore the scenic beauty of Val Verzasca. This unique offering positions Corippo as a desirable destination for the modern, discerning traveler.
Resilience & Innovation: Leading the Way Forward
The resilience of the hospitality industry, as demonstrated through its innovative responses to recent challenges, is inspiring. At HoteliersGuild, we are committed to fostering innovation and resilience within our projects. This EcoLuxNature concept is not just a once-off project proposal; it is a movement towards responsible and sustainable luxury tourism.
