It is my pleasure to announce the appointments of Dr. Jeffrey O and Prof. Dr. David Rempel as the new Chairman and Co-chairman respectively of the HoteliersGuild Academy of Hospitality Arts.
Dr. O, HoteliersGuild's dedicated Ambassador for the Americas, is not only the CEO of St. Justine Hotels , but also the CEO of the International Hospitality Institute . With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Jeffrey is a highly accomplished professional and a highly respected expert in his fields.
As the new Chairman of the HoteliersGuild Academy of Hospitality Arts, he will be instrumental in leading our institution towards greater success and promoting the interests of our members. His knowledge, experience and vision will be invaluable to us as we strive to stay ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving world of hospitality.
Jeffrey brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise that will be highly beneficial to our organisation. He is a respected figure in the hospitality industry and his leadership will provide us with the guidance we need to navigate through the challenges we face as an industry.
I am equally delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. David Rempel as the new Co-chairman. He is the Academic Head of Germany's largest IU International University of Applied Sciences (Nürnberg and Regensburg Campuses), Professor, Tourism Management & Events (Bus.Admin. & Economics). We are convinced that his involvement in the German African Entrepreneurship Association, as Africa Coordinator of the Global Talent Mentoring Hub with a strong focus on talent development and start-ups, and his unwavering support past and present as our lead member-partner of the the HoteliersGuild SIRIUSACADEMYAWARD that grants scholarships to disadvantaged aspiring African female students makes him a perfect fit to further strengthen our cause.
An important part of our mission was and continues to be to bridge the obvious gaps between practitioners and academia in our industry, and we are convinced that by capitalising on the expertise of these distinguished professionals from both fields we will reach the next level. We also believe that Dave's involvement in the German African Entrepreneurship Association, as Africa Coordinator of the Global Talent Mentoring Hub with a strong focus on talent development and start-ups, as well as his tireless support of the HoteliersGuild SIRIUS ACADEMY AWARD, which awards scholarships to disadvantaged aspiring African female students, predestine him to further strengthen our cause.
Of course, I would not want to neglect to thank our first President Prof. Dr. Henri Kuokkanen of the Institut Paul Bocuse, who is retiring by rotation, for his exemplary work, as well as the Academy’s co-founder Lindsey Ueberroth of Preferred Hotels & Resorts for her continuous support as curator and benefactor of the SIRIUS ACADEMY

I am confident that under Jeffrey's and Dave's guidance, HoteliersGuild will continue to grow and thrive. I encourage all our members to extend their support and cooperation to them in their new roles as Chairmen of our private non-profit society
