Meet our member Assia Riccio, Founder & CEO EVOLVIN' WOMEN
Assia was born in Italy to a family of true philanthropists, and from an early age she was taught to always do what she could to help those less fortunate than her. Inspired by her mum’s model of education plus employment, Assia decided to establish Evolvin’ Women and help unemployed women find their place in society through hospitality. She saw an incredible opportunity in leveraging the ever-growing hospitality sector to develop skills with the support of technology. The SIRIUS campaign benefits from her expertise and is grateful for her contribution and support for our cause.
Assia is a member of the Dubai Business Women Council and an Advisory Board Member for Zawadi International for young entrepreneurs in Africa. She has been actively engaged in gender equality and social entrepreneurship and is a regular speaker at international conferences including the HR Capital Forum Middle East, TEDx and the Investing in The Future, Middle East & North Africa Conference held in partnership with UNHCR, UNICEF, UNDP, and The League of Arab States.

The HoteliersGuild LeadingHoteliers chapter was launched by an esteemed group of female executives who share a commitment to accelerate gender equality in the hospitality industry and elevate more women into leadership roles. The collective expertise of our members is incredibly powerful, and we look forward to creating further momentum on a global scale by using the findings of our first year’s work to create and provide education, mentorship, and training in the areas that will have the most success in moving progress forward. I am proud to join together with fellow industry colleagues in championing this crucial cause and very excited to see what we can achieve in the years ahead.
