Logline and synopsis of friends with pain movie

Title: Friends with Pain Written by: Selma Henock Logline: A young lady from a township runs from her abusive step father to her untie in the city, just when she thinks all is falling in place with her new found love things take a turn taking her back to her past.

The Synopsis: A story of a young lady who went through a lot of pain, she lost her father who was very close to her. After some years the mother got involve with the man who become her step father, the man was very abusive and took away her innocence. In search for peace she went to the city to look for her auntie Janet, hoping to find some refuge from all the pain she was going through. She managed to find her and finally she felt some peace and love, her auntie appeared to have had it altogether. She also connected with her neighbor Pedro who always showed interest in her, ever since the first day he saw her when she came to the city.

After a few days of staying with her aunt, Rose suspected something strange of her aunties work which was only done in the night and finally her fears were confirm when something strange happens to her beloved auntie. She was at the risk of ending up in a wheel chair for the rest of her life and now she had no means of supporting them. Rose had to find a way to help out especially with the hospital bills, rent and putting food at the table. She decides to do what her auntie though she did not know. There was a huge character change, money started to come in and her auntie got really worried though the money she brought in was helping a lot.

Janet progressed a lot and was learning to walk again, she discovered what her little niece was up to something she never wanted her to take part in because she wanted a better life for her and was planning to leave her prostitution and look for a better job, as she wanted to be a good example to a niece. The person she worked for was responsible for her being in a wheelchair because she wanted leave. Now she feared for her niece as she was young and they like it young in this business so it will even be more tragic when she tries to leave. Pedro who connected with rose also got a cold shoulder from her and he tried to figure out the sudden change. When Rose meets clients she always has flashbacks of her step father until her boss introduced her to drugs which helped her to do her job well. Her aunt Janet did all she could to convince her on how dangerous the work she was doing was. Pedro also intervened after finding out about her past, but the decision only lied with Rose.
