PROBABLY THE HIGHEST NOTEPADS IN THE WORLD! The cuboid is the original shape of many well-known architectural forms. And it is precisely these high-rise buildings - brutalist concrete blocks and now iconic prefabricated buildings - that are the templates for our Note Scrapers! Based on original models, the first edition of Paper Scraper presents three models of this typical building form on a scale of 1:250.Further national and international skyscrapers and pre fabricated buildings from e.g. London, Paris and New York, Hong Kong, Moscow, Warsaw etc. are already in the making. About the developer: Oliver Seltmann is standing at a bus stop in Hamburg-Mundsburg. In front of him are the three well-known Mundsburg towers from 1973. He photographs them. When he looks at the pictures later, the shape reminds him of something: the idea of high-rise blocks was born.

As part of a personal quest, director Hermann Vaske explored the genius behind the world’s most intriguing artists and thinkers for over 30 years. His interview partners include over 1000 luminaries, among them Academy Award and Nobel Prize winners, from the fields of visual art, music, acting, philosophy, politics, business and science, posing the question: “Why are you creative?” All of the participants also created an artefact for the project—some very personal, some bizarre. Vaske has exhibited these artefacts with considerable s uccess in Europe. Exhibitions included the Museum of Communication in Berlin and the Espace Miramar in Cannes as part of the Cannes Film Festival. Now, 100 of the most interesting, fascinating answers are compiled in this book.

About the author: Hermann Vaske is a director, author, and producer. As a director he worked with actors such as Dennis Hopper, Harvey Keitel, Sir Peter Ustinov and John Cleese. As a producer, he worked with artists such as Marina Abramovic, Shirin Neshat and Vivienne Westwood and extraordinary human beings such as Nelson Mandela, Stephen Hawking and the Dalai Lama. His films have been shown in Venice, Cannes, Toronto and Palm Springs and won numerous awards. Including the Grimme-Preis, Germany’s TV Oscar, the Hessian Film Award, Venice TV Festival, Gold Clios, Cannes Lions and New York Festivals Film & TV Awards.

"Iconographic images from Berlin are well known and in different tonalities: Sarah Eick now succeeds in the great feat that still demands admiration even from Urberliner:innen who have seen a great many photographs of their hometown: her photos undoubtedly reproduce Berlin motifs, but at the same time they are works of a great, translocal, abstract-poetic quality. Peculiarly contextless, almost like UFOs, the familiar buildings and city views appear. Without any form of historicizing or nostalgic pathos, Eick gives them great dignity. Even a snack booth looks sublime in her work. Tanja Dückers, writer, publicist and art historian

Well-known places, whether Fehrbelliner Platz, Kino International, the water circulation tank at the zoo, the Charité high-rise, the Old C ongress Hall or Teufelsberg, are always unpopulated in her work. One has hardly ever seen Berlin like this. This bare representation makes the city

About the photographer: Born in 1974 in Emsdetten. After studying art history, philosophy and applied cultural studies in Münster, Sarah Eick initially devoted herself to painting. Since 2000 Sarah Eick lives and works as a photographer in Berlin. Her work has been exhibited at the Museum für Kommunikation Berlin, the Galerie König in Münster and the "Red Arrow Gallery Joshua Tree" in America, among others.

After the great success of the calendar, a high-quality hardcover postcard book is being published. 100 of the most beautiful flower photos unfold their full glory on the black surface. Taking inspiration from photographic pioneers such as Karl Blossfeldt and snowflakes photographer Wilson Bentley, as well as Japanese floral artist Makoto Azuma, Andy Warhol or even Pedro Almodóvar, this calendar is based on over 10,000 stunning floral close-ups. The p hotos remind us that while beauty is primarily something natural, it also has a fleeting quality. They reveal rarely noticed details that are full of architectural sophistication and filigree splendor. Each shot is a striking piece of art.

Sex sells. Everything obvious is and has already been shown in excess. In a directness and an exposure, which torment the human eye more, than that it really succeeds to meet the fine, the surprising and the mysterious sensually. But surely this is the real game of eroticism? The subtle beauty and truth of nature nature shows it. Thus the Personality of the flower of the wicked in the book project through the through the photographic view of the artist, as well as the sweet as the sweet plant of innocence in all its vulnerability and tenderness. Their whole fascinating range, between pride and fragility, becomes visible. In the planned book, Hildegard Theodora Monssen gives her her unique insight into a hidden world.

About the artist: Hildegard Theodora Monssen, born in Vorst on the Lower Rhine, studied art education and German language and literature in Cologne and worked both as a teacher and a journalist. It was not until late that she turned exclusively to photography. To this end, she studied with Prof. Dr. Herta Wolf in Essen and was active on a project basis with Arno Fischer of the Ostkreuz, the school for photography in Berlin. In addition, there were regular working stays in the Netherlands and numerous exhibitions in Düsseldorf, Neuss, Luxembourg, Paris and Venlo.

"The collection of the Museum van Bommeln van Dam in Venlo include four photographic works by the German artist Hildegard Theodora Monssen (born 1948 in Vorst). These works were created exclusively with natural natural light. (...) Inspired and enthused by the new perspectives and inspired by the new angles of vision, the light photographer finally created a remarkable full-color series in 2012. She captures her motifs in extreme close-ups and sensitively combines and sensitively combines wilting flowers with the corresponding lighting with the corresponding lighting mood. The expressive, yet mysterious, colorful flower worlds are transformed into magical flower landscapes. Here the microcosm becomes in a subtle way to the macrocosm. In her work Hildegard Theodora Monßen shows with the beauty of transience and temporality in a philosophical of transience and temporality in the philosophical sense. sense. The photographer and scientiest Rolf Sachsse wrote a fascinating essay for the catalog about Thomas Kellner’s new Serie, Tango Metropolis. Using a variety of tools, Thomas Kellner has created a series dedicated to the world's most famous monuments. These iconic buildings are already known from everyone but he offers the public to rediscover them through his camera and work. This portfolio is a set of deconstructed pictures that are, according to Rolf Sachsse, part of mannerism and cubism movements. Mannerism is the first influence of Thomas Kellner because he took modern elements that surround us and converted them into piece of art without keeping them identical. Indeed, to create the portfolio, Thomas Kellner deconstructed every cliché he took to rearrange them the way he wants. This set of pictures brings together stiles but also motions. Thanks to a creative work on spaces and ratios, Thomas Kellner makes the monuments dance for his camera. In his contact sheets, each picture has a story to tell with authenticity. Through this set, Thomas Kellner has proven the genius of his art and the modernity he demonstrates.

About the artist: Thomas Kellner (Bonn 1966) is a German photographic artist known for his photographs of dancing buildings and interiors from around the world. For over two decades, Kellner has explored the pictorial possibilities of the contact sheet, drawing particular inspiration from American cities, architecture and landscapes.

We love them. Rock stars, movie stars, icons of the art world. And we love pictures of them. Most portraits we see today document our abstract ideas of what's best and what's worst - in them and in ourselves. That's why they work. Portraiture as a means of artistic expression and human understanding remains important and vital. It is certainly a great aspect of Søren Rønholt's work: the invisible dialogue between the people he portrays and himself is undeniable. The majority of his portrayed characters may be famous, but that's not the point. He uses every ounce of his empathy to create images of real people. Despite the clever, accentuating mood and strong, often monochromatic style – what he seeks is the truth behind the face.

About the photographer: Søren Rønholt (*1969) lives and works as an artist and freelance portrait photographer in Copenhagen. After his successful NORDIC BOOK published in 2014, this is his second book with Seltmann Publishers.

For many years, Thomas Kellner has been working with architecture and sights from all over the world, but in this work, created in the summer of 2014, he turns to one of the most breathtaking landscape motifs on earth: the Grand Canyon. Kellner photographs the subject from several perspectives and thus breaks it down into its individual parts. He then assembles the contact sheets in their original size to create an overall composition. The Big Picture consists of 60 films with 36 shots each, i.e. 2160 pictures taken one after the other. The work of art is more than 4 meters wide. The limited two-image catalog presents the work of art at an impressive 1.50 m and thus in the format 1: 3.7.

The skin and the shapes of the body are undeniably the most interesting reflectors for light and shadow. The variability of the poses and the shapes of the bodies are infinite and can be changed endlessly to inspire endless new picture compositions. Thus there are indeed many nude pictures, but through constant new impressions and forms of expression they find their validity. For Manet, the nude was the first and ultimate expression of art. Who would contradict him?
