3. Check your le and folder permissions If your le permission is set to 774, then it is a sign that hackers are trying to steal your website. So, you should set it to either 644 or 755 as early a possible before it's too late and you lose your access to your WordPress website or blog.

4. Always hide the wp-con g.php It is a speci c le type that needs to be hidden because the hackers can nd and locate it within seconds. By default, it is present in a folder inside your WordPress. You should transfer it from an unsafe place to a safe folder because WordPress will automatically check its location.

5. Use trusted sources for your plugins and themes You should never download and install the plugins and themes from unknown sources.
