Excluding your own tra c in Google Analytics To avoid getting skewed data, exclude web traf c from your IP address. Do not let internal traf c jumble up data for you. Here's how: Go to your Google analytics account and sign in Go to the 'Admin' tab then select the account followed by the property you intend to add a lter to. Click +Filter then proceed as prompted. Look up for your IP address using services like "what's my IP" then jot it down somewhere. After adding the IP address to the lter, save changes and apply the lter. Now you're good to go.

Enabling internal searches Go to your Google analytics account and sign in. Go to Admin, open that account, property plus the view you'd wish to enable site searching on. Choose 'view settings, ' and somewhere near the bottom of the panel you'll see Site-Search-Settings Enable the site-search tracking option Enter the query parameter ('s' for WordPress sites) and then save.
