Can Over-Optimization Be The Reason Of Google Penalties? – Semalt Gives The Answer
Nik Chaykovskiy, the Semalt expert, states that over-optimization can be explained as overuse of "white hat" SEO tactics during search engine optimization. Over-optimization is usually associated with Google since it has more advanced algorithms than other search engines. It is unclear whether other search engines such as Yahoo or MSN have penalties for over optimization. For a page to be considered well optimized, it must have the following standard components: keyword rich header, alt tags, description tags, meta keyword and description tags, title tags and several related links to other pages. The page should also have the keyword in the URL or lename. There are however limitations to the use of these tactics, for instance, you should not have any repeating keywords in any of the components listed above, no invisible text, as all given text should be visible to the naked eye.
What should be avoided during page optimization? A search engine such as Google may be able to detect all levels of spam. Although it is unclear to what degree an over optimization extends, the factors below indicate possible assumptions as to the cause of over optimization penalties:
