PRIMARILY FEATURES A SCHOOL GATHERING SPACE MADE OF DIFFERENT DOORS CRAFTED BY EACH OF THE STUDENTS AND PROFESSORS REPRESENTING THE UNITY OF A NEW SCHOOL.

SOME FOLD INTO CHAIRS AND TABLES, SOME ARE ACTUALLY WINDOWS. SOME ARE PRACTICALLY DESIGNED TO BE LONG ENOUGH FOR CONSTRUCTION LUMBER!

LIVING THEATER internship: with NYC based artist Oliver Herring location: madison square park; NYC

A DINNER THEATER FOR THE EDGE OF PROVIDENCE, RI. THIS THEATER FEATURES MULTIPLE LAYERS OF STAGES, GRADUALLY OPENING UP AND PULLING THE ADJACENT CITY INTO ITS BOUNDS TRANSFORMING THE WORLD AROUND IT INTO A PLAY.

AN ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT for Brown University Digital Media completed at: the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) MODELS OF THE DINNER THEATER. MODELS BY BOM CHINBURI (RISD ARCH ‘15). YOU CAN SEE CLEARLY THE 8 CORE ‘CHARACTERS’ AND SUPPORT AND HOLD UP THE STRUCTURE AND ACT AS ITS PRIMARY MEANS OF CIRCULATION SO THAT THE REST CAN BE THEATER.

CONCEIVED AS A REALM WHERE PEOPLE GO TO CREATE INTANGIBLE ONLINE CONTENT. MAINLY FEATURES A THIN BUT VERY DEEP EXPERIENCIAL STAIRCASE SURROUNDS THE STRUCTURE UNDERGROUND.

DESIGNED, BUILT AND EXECUTED RAIN GUTTERS, SEATING, A RAINGARDEN, CONCRETE STAIR LEADING TO THE PROVIDENCE RIVER, A PERMANENT FLOATING STRUCTURE.

VENICE BIENALLE

INTERNSHIP with Bunnag Architects to construct the Thai Pavillion location: Venice, Italy. En grade with the surface, this underground fortress seeks to create a barrier between a space for the digital and a space for the physical. Four walls of circulation surround a cube of program underground - these thin corridors of sculpted spaces serve as a primary means of circulation.

AEON’S BOX

ILLUSTRATIONS: about a city that keeps building itself completed at: the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Aeon’s box is a place made of many of the same things. The same arch, the same column, the same window, the sands of timelessness and the remnants of past visitors. It is a pristine ruin of sand and arches. There is no outside, only the next room.

AN ARCHITECTURAL THESIS rewriting Theseus and the Minataur completed at: the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) This labyrinth takes place in a re-written story of “Theseus and the Minotaur” where the ball of string is both the labyrinth that surrounds our hero and his way out.

ESCAPIST’S STRATAGEY AN ARCHITECTURAL THESIS about narrative and fantasy completed at: the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) The project draws relationships to heroism, narrative and escapism through a series books of 99 images of terrains that evoke the feelings of clearly artificial constructed landscapes referencing egress, train stations, theaters and the red string of fate.

CERAMIC SHELLS to hold the mind imagination, rather than liquid completed at: the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) CRAFTED FROM THE VOID OF TWO RICE BOWLS PRESSED TOGETHER EACH IS A WORLD IN ITSELF THAT HOLDS THE FICTILE MIND. THE START OF MY THESIS PROJECT. FICTILE SHELLS FOR FICTIVE DREAMS.

PRINTS FOR A PROJECT THAT BEGINS TO ESTABLISH THE ‘PLACE’ OF MAZES. IT IS A IDOSYNCRATIC SPACE THAT A MIND IS SENT TO WHEN THEY ARE TRYING TO SOLVE A PAPER MAZE. SIMILARLY TO WHEN ONE READS ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS.
