Cleveland Clinic’ s new facilities in London are its fi rst in Europe, adding another international location to an integrated global health system

Voted amongst the top hospitals in the world by Newsweek, Cleveland Clinic opened its fi rst outpatient centre at 24 Portland Place in the Harley Street Medical Area in September, and the new 184-bed hospital in central London follows in early 2022.

These are Cleveland Clinic’s fi rst facilities in Europe, adding another international location to an integrated global health system with over 70,000 employees working across 19 hospitals and over 220 outpatient facilities in Ohio, Florida and Nevada in the United States, Toronto and Abu Dhabi.

The six-fl oor Cleveland Clinic Portland Place Outpatient Centre is equipped with the latest technology to enhance quality, safety and experience of care, and o ers a variety of services, including GP and Executive Health appointments, diagnostics and outpatient consultations across the following areas:

• Heart, vascular and thoracic • Digestive disease • Neurosciences • Orthopaedics, plastic surgery and rheumatology • Ear, nose and throat • Urology

Cleveland Clinic London Hospital is at the cutting-edge of hospital design. It will offer 184 inpatient beds in an exceptional environment, designed to enhance the patient experience at every step. Facilities include eight operating rooms, a full imaging suite, endoscopy and catheterisation labs, day-case rooms for surgery, and a full neurological suite with rehabilitation. The hospital will offer a full range of medical services, including specialty services focusing on heart, vascular and thoracic, orthopaedics, digestive diseases, neurosciences and general surgery.

Cleveland Clinic London Hospital will be the first private provider in the UK to fully use electronic patient records, and the first hospital in the country to use pharmacy barcoding and closed loop medication administration to ensure that quality, safety and patient experience are exceptional.
