CHEF OLIVER WOLF TO HOST REGIONAL TELEVISION PROGRAM Come Dine with Me – WNY! to premiere on WKBW-TV on September 6 NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – Culinary expert and renowned chef Oliver Wolf, executive chef at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, will bring a dash of flavor to the airwaves as host of the regional television program Come Dine with Me – WNY!, premiering on Sunday, September 6 on ABC affiliate WKBW-TV. The program will air on Sundays at 12 Noon. Along with Come Dine with Me – WNY! co-host Jan Ferington, Wolf will showcase local, independent restaurants and teach viewers how to prepare the same signature dishes shown on the telecast in their own kitchens. Each episode showcases local restaurants, takes video tours and highlights recipes and techniques in the show’s studio kitchen located at Artisan Kitchens and Baths. Central to each episode is the “Kitchen Invasion” segment, in which celebrity chefs invade a different residence each week. The homeowners then get to prepare dinner alongside the pros. “Dining, whether enjoying a meal at your favorite restaurant or preparing something in your home, is a fun, engaging and creative experience,” said Wolf. “Through the show, we want to help viewers bring that joy and experience to life in their kitchen, for their families and friends, and to help showcase local restaurants and local chefs in the process.”
The mission of Come Dine with Me – WNY! is twofold. First, the goal is to promote local restaurants and encourage viewers to choose those establishments when dining out. Second, it is to share recipes and techniques with viewers to improve their at-home dining experience. In addition to Wolf, the show features three local celebrity chefs: Marco Sciortino, of Marco’s, Krista Van Wagner, from Krista’s Kitchen, and Art Christy of Frontier Catering. “Each of the chefs has an engaging personality that easily wins over our television audience,” said executive producer, Michael Fantaske. “And each chef is qualified and comfortable working side by side with other local chefs from some of the area’s finest restaurants.” A recognized chef with more than 25 years experience worldwide, Wolf joined Seneca Niagara one year ago. He was trained and educated in his profession in Germany with professional stints at prestigious resorts in Munich, Bavaria, Düsseldorf and Lahnstein, Bermuda, and Dubai, as well Marriott International properties in Chicago, Philadelphia, Florida, and California. He describes his cooking style as light cuisine that utilizes classical techniques.
