UPCOMING ENTERTAINMENT AT SENECA CASINOS: AUGUST 2012 UPDATE NIAGARA FALLS and SALAMANCA, NY – With summer winding down, Seneca Casinos announces new additions to its entertainment lineup to keep the energy going into the fall. Coming to Seneca Allegany Events Center on Nov. 3 is powerful country-ballad singer Gary Allan. Seneca Niagara Events Center will host the 14th Annual Native American Music Awards (NAMMYs) on Nov. 30. And the 440-seat Bear’s Den Showroom at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel has a number of new acts in October and November, including Ricci Martin, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Toots and the Maytals and comedic hypnotist J. Medicine Hat. Described as original, honest and uncompromising, Gary Allan comes to Seneca Allegany Events Center with bold, emotional tunes such as “Watching Airplanes,” “Best I Ever Had,” “Man to Man” and “Nothing on but the Radio.” Allan just finished recording a new album as a follow-up to 2010’s Get Off on the Pain and will release “A Tough Goodbye” as the first single for radio play. Fans can hear more of Allan’s new songs and his greatest hits on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. Tickets for the show start at $35 and go on sale Monday, Aug. 13, at noon. Returning to Seneca Niagara Events Center for the fifth consecutive year is the Native American Music Awards on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. This annual awards-ceremony is in its 14th year and features performances by a variety of Native American musicians throughout North America. Tickets start at just $20 and go on sale Monday, Sept. 10, at noon.
The intimate 440-seat Bear’s Den Showroom features the ultimate mix of performances throughout October and November, starting Friday, Oct. 12, with singer Ricci Martin, who will pay tribute to the music of his legendary father, Dean Martin. Tickets start at $35 and are on sale now. Swing-revival band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy performs “How Big Can You Get – 100 Years of Cab Calloway” twice on Saturday, Oct. 20. Tickets start at $30 for the matinee show at 3 p.m. and start at $40 for the evening show at 8 p.m. Both shows are on sale now. The excitement at the Bear’s Den Showroom continues in November with reggae pioneers Toots and the Maytals returning to the venue for the first time since May 2010. The Friday, Nov. 2, performance is part of the group’s “Unplugged Tour.” Tickets start at $50 for the 8 p.m. show and go on sale Monday, Aug. 13, at noon. Another returning act to the Bear’s Den is comedic hypnotist J. Medicine Hat, who performs two shows on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 3 and 8 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and go on sale Monday, Aug. 20, at noon.
