CREWS READY TRACKS FOR SNOWMOBILE RACING THIS WEEKEND AT SENECA ALLEGANY CASINO & HOTEL More than 200 of the world’s greatest snowmobilers to race AMSOIL Championship Snocross during three action-packed days – February 22-24 SALAMANCA, NY – Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel is ready to host high-speed, heartpounding snowmobile races for southwestern New York’s first-ever national circuit of events this weekend. Crews with the International Series of Champions (ISOC) racing organization turned more than one million gallons of water into an enormous mound of snow this winter on a football-field-sized plot of land outside the casino. Now, that snow is meticulously shaped into a race course with twists, hills and ramps for the world’s top snowmobile athletes. AMSOIL Championship Snocross, presented by Traxxas, takes place February 22 to 24 and features more than 200 of the top snowmobile racers from North America and nearly a dozen countries worldwide. Races will take place all day throughout the weekend – but the top professionals will race under bright lights on Friday and Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. Those races will be taped for an upcoming national broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Among the professional racers is Monster Energy/Arctic Cat’s Tucker Hibbert (Pro Open) – arguably the most well-known name in recent snocross history – who notched his 75th career win during the last national race on Feb. 8. Another racer turning heads this season is New York’s Jake Scott (Mystik Lubricants/Loctite/Polaris), who just won his third-straight race in the Pro Lite class. Scott grew up on Long Island and calls Port Jefferson home.
Tickets for the events are affordably priced, with an all-weekend pass available for $30. Daily admission is $25 for Friday, $25 for Saturday and $15 for Sunday. Admission is free for children ages six and younger. Guests may purchase tickets at the Logo Shop inside Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel or online at www.isocracing.com. Bleachers set up around the track can accommodate thousands of fans, and bright lights will illuminate the track during the evening hours on Friday and Saturday. The atmosphere will be festive, including food, beverage, gear for purchase in the nearby Seneca Allegany Events Center, jumbo-sized video screens, autograph sessions and activities for the whole family – including the Traxxas Try Me Track, which allows fans to test remote-controlled trucks on a snow-covered course.
