THOMPSON SQUARE, ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK, LYNYRD SKYNYRD JOIN SENECA ALLEGANY EVENTS CENTER ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP SALAMANCA, N.Y. – Take one part modern country, one part classic pop music and one part Southern rock, and it all adds up to a diverse entertainment lineup at Seneca Allegany Events Center this fall. Coming to the 2,400-seat venue in Salamanca will be Thompson Square on October 26, Engelbert Humperdinck on November 7 and Lynyrd Skynyrd on November 29. Thompson Square, who performed nearly a year ago to the day at Seneca Allegany Events Center, return to the venue for a 5 p.m. performance on Sunday, Oct. 26. Tickets start at $25 and go on sale Friday, Aug. 15 at noon. The husband-and-wife duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson debuted in 2010 with the No. 1 country single, “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not.” The smash hit was nominated for more than a dozen music industry awards and won in three categories at the American Country Awards. Throughout 2012 and 2013, Thompson Square was named Top Vocal Duo by the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards. A second album, “Just Feels Good,” was released in 2013. The first single, “If I Didn’t Have You,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard U.S. Country Airplay chart and the latest single, “I Can’t Outrun You,” was released earlier this summer. Still touring strong at age 78, British pop singer Engelbert Humperdinck comes to Seneca Allegany Events Center for evening performance on November 7. Tickets for the 7 p.m. show start at $35 and go on sale Monday, Aug. 18 at noon. Throughout his career,
Humperdinck received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, won a Golden Globe for “Entertainer of the Year” in 1988 and earned four GRAMMY nominations. Some of his highest-charting hits among his many gold and platinum records include “Release Me (And Let Me Love Again),” “After the Lovin’” and “The Last Waltz.” Humperdinck’s latest album, “Engelbert Calling,” was released earlier this year and includes duets with a veritable who’swho list of nearly two dozen of some of the most respected names in the music industry. Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd will turn up the heat on a cold November night with an unforgettable performance on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the show start at $40 and go on sale Monday, Aug. 18 at noon. Despite a tragic plane crash that killed many of the band’s members in 1977, Lynyrd Skynyrd re-formed 10 years later and has continued to entertain tens of millions of fans worldwide. In fact, their 14th studio album, 2012’s “Last of a Dyin’ Breed,” peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard charts – their highest position since the 1970s and a testament to the band’s enduring popularity. Lynyrd Skynyrd’s timeless hits include “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Free Bird” – and two of the tracks from their debut album, “Tuesday’s Gone” and “Simple Man,” continue to receive major airplay on classic rock stations today. Tickets for all shows will be available at select retail outlets inside the Seneca Casinos, Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster locations or by phone at 800-745-3000.
