DEAR SENIORS, PROFESSIONALS AND FRIENDS OF THE SENIORS BLUE BOOK,
Welcome to the Summer-Winter 2022 edition of Seniors Blue Book Connecticut!
As a life-long resident of Connecticut, it is with great pride that I bring this valuable resource to our seniors, their families and the many professionals who work tirelessly to assist them in countless ways. Once again, we have worked diligently to bring you the most relevant, up to date and accurate information to help you plan your senior years.
As you look through the pages of this guide, know that we are here to help. Seniors Blue Book is formatted in three distinct, color coded sections for easy navigation with Community Resources in Blue, Health at Home in Purple and Senior Housing in Green. Our “How to Use This Guide” section on pages 2 and 3 will get you started in using this comprehensive resource.
Within these pages you will also find articles written by local experts on many relevant topics such as the role of the adult day center, options in public transportation systems and healthy brain aging. Additionally, you will find hundreds of archived articles on SenorsBlueBook.com submitted by our senior care professional partners here in Connecticut as well as the 28 markets we serve nationally.
Please share Seniors Blue Book with your family, friends and neighbors. Additional copies are always available at libraries, senior centers, senior living communities, hospitals and long-term care facilities – or call us at 203-3037400. We are always happy to mail a copy to anyone who would like one.
We always appreciate feedback from our readers. If you have comments or suggestions or have questions, we would love to hear from you!
Last, but not least, we are eternally grateful to the dedication of all healthcare workers. Their commitment to the well-being of Connecticut’s seniors is greatly appreciated.
We wish our Connecticut communities health and happiness in the coming months. We are always here to help.
Sincerely, – Carol Raitanen, Publisher
