Optum KC- Keep Moving, Smiling, and Learning
Keep Moving, Smiling, It’s that easy with Optum and LearningCommunity Centers, opening in 2023.
As we grow older, being healthy means more than just regular visits to the doctor; it’s about friendships and creating new experiences, lifelong learning, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Optum Care Network-Kansas City is proud to offer Optum Community Centers, with four locations opening across the area in 2023, each designed to keep adults age 55+ active and engaged. The stateof-the-art centers will feature a wellness clinic, fitness and classroom facilities, as well as social areas. They will be open to the entire community and you won’t need to be an Optum patient to participate in the classes and activities. You can take advantage of no-cost health presentations and classes on a wide range of health-related topics such as managing chronic health conditions, heart health, nutritious cooking, how to quit smoking, understanding Medicare, and more. Enjoy fitness classes like chair yoga, Zumba, tai chi, and line dancing. You can watch movies and participate in arts and crafts workshops. You will also find support groups to assist with grief, managing emotional well- being, and health education.
