Letter from the Publisher / Contact Information
Dear Seniors, Professionals and Friends of the Seniors Blue Book:
Welcome to our 2022 edition of the Seniors Blue Book! As we publish this guide, our nation is under the distress of a virus and our health care system has been challenged in ways it has never been before. We cannot say “thank you” enough to our local healthcare heroes. As we look forward to the hope of healing, it is more important than ever to continue to strive to publish the most accurate and up to date information available. Rest assured, we have worked hard to bring you the most comprehensive guide of resources available to seniors, their caregivers and the industry professionals who serve them. We hope you will look through the guide and become familiar with what is available in your area.
We are here to help you age well, no matter what that looks like for each of you. Our guide is set up in such a way to help you narrow your search and find what you need. Our color-coded sections offer information on all types of senior resources, as well as health at home and senior living options. For a quick tutorial, check out our “How to use this guide” on pages 6-7. As the adage says, “knowledge is power”. Our inherent right to choose is the cornerstone of what we believe and is exactly why this “Authoritative Media’ Seniors Blue Book was created 40 years ago.
In addition to the printed guide, we hope you will visit our LOCAL home pages online. Now, you will find detailed information specific to the local market in which you are searching. Visit SeniorsBlueBook.com and click on the city/market of your choice.
Should you find yourself searching for senior housing options, care at home, hospice, or memory care, be sure to review our comprehensive comparison grids, where you will find communities and agencies catalogued with specific amenities and services, so you can select the most appropriate option for your situation, and remember, you always have the right to choose!
Share this book with your friends and neighbors! You can always find more copies of the Senior Blue Books at many locations throughout the area including: CVS and Hy-Vee stores, senior centers, libraries, any of our advertising partners, ask your discharge planner, or give us a call and we can provide you with additional copies or locations of the book.
With each edition, our commitment and inspiration to improve our offerings is fueled by the wonderful senior and caregiver community we serve. We are very fortunate to live in such a vibrant and supportive community as the KC area and we commit to continue to work hard to uncover exciting new resources, and events to share with you, our valued readers.
We always love to hear from you. We truly value your input and suggestions. We look forward to seeing you in person this year!
Respectfully Yours, Kirsten Brewer, Publisher
