Model Camp SA Season 22 winner, Sylvia.G shared her journey to finding herself through modeling.

Tell us about yourself: How did you get interested in the modeling industry?

I had low self-esteem while growing up as I had a very thin and tall looking body structure and really felt very uncomfortable in my own skin. Luckily I had a positive mindset and have always been curious about how to change my circumstances by been creative and to express myself through that. Art has always been a passion to me, so I utilized my abilities to find a way to visually express myself. I had to place myself in a position to overcome my insecurity and to start being confident and truly in a positive tune to start loving myself for who I am. I started with modelling and found that this was perfect for me. Then I attended Model Camp SA boot camp and learned about modeling to build my career.

What are your goals in your career?

I would love to grow in the high fashion industry and the commercial side of modelling to finally see myself on billboard advertisements!

What advice can you give to young girls who wish to become a model one day?
