The ground outside is still covered with snow, but many migrating birds have begun to appear at our feeder again. It’s no longer dark when I wake up in the morning. The increasing daylight this time of year always makes me feel optimistic, like just about anything is possible. Late winter in New England also means the start of maple sugaring season.
