Issue : Increasing Annual Carbon Emission as Existing Condition In which direction does the civilization, of which we humans have developed and currently developing, proceeds? Mankind has been obsessed with the height of buildings ceaselessly. It was religious faith that aroused such craving in humans. Nowadays the height of the building symbolizes the accumulation of capital, which also can be a symbol of wealth and technology. The innovation of modern technology such as airplanes, satellites, and spacecraft also share the characteristic of height.

Re-think : Upside-Down Construction on the Edge of Earth The Space Stalactite will make a complete change in direction. Humanity will depart from the atmosphere full of carbon dioxide in the near future in order to locate the new cornerstone on the Kármán line; the boundary between Earth and Space. It will further proclaim the new beginning of humanity in the opposite direction from the precedent, of which is in fact toward the Earth.

Revolving forces are the power for the skyscraper to float and capture, utilize CO2.

The skyscraper descends from the Karman line; the edge of Space and Earth, non-gravity and gravity

Operation The Space Stalactite will prosper with the ‘CCU technology’ that employs carbon dioxide and consequently purifies the atmosphere while revolving in the earth’s orbit; ‘Carbon Capture and Utilization’, or ‘CCU’, is a technology capturing carbon dioxide and converting it into a useful material. The Space Stalactite will eventually touch the surface when the atmosphere is fully cleansed. 1) Departure

Branch Components

For the Space Stalactite, an adequate supply of carbon dioxide is fundamentally crucial. Carbon dioxide can be used in multiple fields including construction, civil engineering materials, paper industry, medicine, food, and chemical industry.

The spiral acts as a screw conveyor that enables material exchange based on Archimedes' principle. According to the study, protrusion added to the surface of the spiral becomes the force which enables vertical material exchange.

Descending Organic Stems Referred by the theory of Archimedes, carbon dioxide ascends while oxygen descends due to the revolving force of the orbit. In addition, the lower spiral section rotates to collect carbon dioxide. The spiral form consists of multiple layers, which was calculated for the respective flow of human, construction, oxygen, and carbon dioxide. Each spiral is connected to the core, factory, and farm. These three spirals which are connected to the above programs get tangled gradually and creates a systematic circulation to each program.

The End of the Revolving Journey Perspective : Homeland Encounter

The Space Stalactatite eventually reaches the original ground level while it captured and utilized carbon dioxide existing in the atmosphere. Civilization returns back to mother earth at the end of the revolving, descending journey. The Space Stalactite remains above the sky as if it symbolizes the consequences of devastation achieved by people of the early era. However, it also indicates the possiblity to advance back to space with less intervention on mother earth.
