Welcome to Sequence Magazine. I am the editor and designer for this magazine and would love to take you through a journey of beautiful photography I myself am inspired by. I have previously worked with fashion photography and found myself more invested in putting the shoots together as opposed to being the photographer.
Sequence Magazine

features a mixture of photography and fashion photography by photographers and bloggers who have a unique eye for their own style’s and day to day influences. The photography featured is a mixture from fashion, to bridal editorial, to exposure experimentals. The fashion inspiration comes from a blogger of which has experience within the fashion industry and portrays this through her social media. This magazine is for no other purpose other than inspiration and showcasing different art styles of those who wish to share their knowledge and information. I would like to thank all those who have kindly contributed to this magazine and have been through this experience with me! For more information on each photographer/blogger- please feel free to view their websites located on each of their feature’s. Kind regards,

Olivia Bossert “My name is Olivia Bossert, I’m a Swiss girl who moved to Cornwall in the UK, and accidentally fell in love with the county, the sea, and a Cornish boy. I’ve had a camera in hand since I was 15 years old, and I use it to capture the images I imagine in my head. I’m a lover of all things romantic, blue, and adventurous”

“The whole idea behind these images was to tell the story of two Cornish girls, waiting for their sailor lovers to return from sea

Growing up learning adobe photoshop and lightroom its meant I’ve always included it in any shoot I’ve ever done, I’ve also shot film and love the classic feel to it but love the freedom of RAW digital files. I started off photographing in a simplistic art style looking at building/ city architecture as well as standard nature photography. And through college began expanding into different areas of photography, I started hating shooting in a studio as hated being ‘trapped’ inside and wanted to go back outside to combat that mixed people with outdoors environments which has now become my favorite sets to date being my Streets series, however, my proudest work is my double exposures nature shoots, Its been the project I’ve put the longest time into planning shoots as well as post-processing leading to my biggest challenge, and I believe perfectly reflects my photography style, using the creative power of digital technology mixed with nature to represent the connection people have with nature themselves and how we are all tied to it in some way” www.jamesruddlephoto.co.uk

Photographer “I am a Surrey/Hampshire based photographer and have just started my photography business. I’m still organising a sound portfolio but I am aiming to specialise in fashion, editoral, commercial, fashion/lifestyle blogger photography etc. Anything to do with fashion as this is the style I love best! I’ve always been creative through my school and college life, studying Art and Media at GCSE and at college studying Photography and Media in my second year. I’ve always wanted a career in photography and as an 18 year old business owner, I can only look forward to what is to come!” www.abigailroots.com

I did a series of shoots based around the idea of The Male Gaze. I wanted to see how many ways I could interpret it; to start with I created a shoot that showed the male gaze in a more feminine way without the use of overly sexualised images.I then went on to juxtapose a female model to wear male clothing... this got rid of the idea of the male gaze by not photographing women in a way that is over-sexualised!I wanted to show that photographing fashion can be effective without the use of the male gaze

Photographer & Digital Designer “I am the editor and designer of this magazine- however as photography was my doorway into the design industry, I thought I would share a previous studio shoot I did entirely in black and white. The inspiration of this shoot came through my admiration towards Coco Chanel and her monochrome take towards the fashion industry. As this colour theme fits almost any design, I felt Sequence Magazine could use this as a fashion shoot to inspire others. I particularly loved shooting with black and white clothing pieces as it fit almost every style and worked well within a studio environment with the backdrops and lighting. www.kaylabrookephotos.com
