omething is happening in Bangor… posters are going up, promises are being made and a select number of people are getting very nervous. It’s all because its election time at the Students’ Union and it affects all of us.
The Students’ Union executive represent Bangor students and their needs to a whole variety of organisations We all know that being a student isn’t just about going to lectures, reading books and writing essays. Joining clubs and societies; partying in Academi; listening to Storm FM; reading Seren; and trying to find a solution to problems with a landlord are all parts of being at university and these things don’t happen by accident. The people elected in these elections are responsible for all these things for a whole academic year of your university career. They affect your life on a day to day basis in ways you probably don’t
The people elected make decisions on your behalf, so it’s important you get your say. even realise. The Students’ Union executive represent Bangor students and their needs to a whole variety of organisations, from the university to local companies. If you were to be called to a disciplinary by the university, members of the executive would also attend, in order to make sure that the procedure was carried out fairly and that you received the support you needed. Important decisions about the ways in which your degrees are run, are influenced by comments made by these people. The people elected make decisions on your behalf, so it’s important you get your say.
