Why is beta testing important?
What is Beta Testing? It is a testing method where a nearly finished product is given to the users (beta testers) for them to test the software product in a real-time environment and then gather valuable feedback from them.
Further, beta testing is important because: It is primarily designed for end-users. The soft aspects of the application such as usability, accessibility and interface are thoroughly tested. Data can be gathered from all stages of the product lifecycle and also specifications and standards can be integrated. Actual end-user data is integrated, so that meaningful insights can be experienced by customers. Enough intelligence can be exhibited to analyze and compare the soft aspects of the product together with the functional test data.
“Quality” is an important factor that is thoroughly scrutinized in this testing method as the overall application experience can be evaluated by testers and developers from users’ perspective.
