Workshop

We will look at the town of Changliu as a representative of other towns, to develop a set of rules for the town’s development. The Village code,Guangdong, is to contain rules that do not outline a fixed form, but which create an architectural condition as a response to the encounter between the global and the local.

PROJECT2 The design of the house will seek to find a contemporary alternative to the vernacular rural house. the design problem is a 200sqm village house. The house design will explore the program, massing, parti, structure and detail of the house. The new proposal must consider the existing house on its site, its form, construction or foundation. The model making and drawing process will also take on the hybrid and utilize media drawing and model making techniques.
