Hobbies I love art and, in particular, contemporary art. I believe that it helps us to see in a deeper way the things that surround us.

Curriculum vitae October 2010 - October 2016 I’ve attended the master course in Building engineering and architecture at the University of Bologna (graduation mark 110/110). I’ve completed my studies with a master thesis called “The shared building of public space through architecture and social programs for Zingonia”. I’ve prepared it under the supervision of Prof. Matteo Agnoletto, Prof. Luigi Bartolomei and Prof. Deni Ruggeri.( link to the thesis(only in Italian)http://amslaurea.unibo.it/id/eprint/11969 ) June 2016 I’ve partecipated to the LED-Landscape Education for Democracy (Erasmus + program) intensive workshop in Zingonia, a New town located near Bergamo in Northern Italy. I’ve worked toghether with landscape’s architects that come from different country. We analysed and planned new visions for the town considering the foundamental importance of local community in the perception and costruction of their everyday landscape (reference here: https://www.linkedin. com/pulse/landscape-democracy-action-proceedings-from-plus-workshop-ruggeri) April 2016 - June 2016 I’ve participated to the online LED seminar as an active attendee. I’ve followed this course that want to promote awareness and empower young design and planning professional to become more active in shaping democratic change. I’ve worked in an international students group to complete the assignments, improving my knowledge about landscape and partecipatory planning methods. June 2015 - April 2016 Collaborator to the design studio “Underground_Studio Progetti”, Viale Panzacchi 17/2, Bologna (design studio). I’ve worked to the participation of architecture competitions. I’ve collaborated to the preliminar project and 3D modeling (with SketchUp) of a private resturant in Bologna. March 2015 - June 2015 Curricular internship at “Underground_Studio Progetti”, Viale Panzacchi 17/2, Bologna (design studio). In particular, I was involved in the project of a Church and in the preparation of plans of security and coordination construction. July 2010 High school scientific graduation (100/100) at the “Liceo scientifico G.Marinelli” in Udine.

Public spaces are places that could bring new values, new ways of living and act in cities. The architectural interventions in these matters have become the method to promote a positive evolution of this physical and social status. The actions that I promote want to bring a regeneration of urban public spaces in Zingonia, a very interesting reality and full of contradictions. Zingonia born as a new city in 1964 and today reveals itself how a neighborhood metropolitan degraded and dangerous without a municipality, a suburb without a center, one of the most complex immigration laboratories in Italy. The collection of small actions proposed are intervention that want to increase the perception of a safe space, trying to cross some mental barriers. The physic results of these interventions are important as the social and psychologic out comings perceived from the attendees. The strategy adopted wants to involve the local users in all the process, promoting “DIYDo it yourself” actions. This approach is very important because the creation act develops a very strong affection to the space and actives the dialogue with others, these are the first steps to create a self-perceived community. The people are educated, in these practice ways, in the landscape aesthetic, becoming aware in their power to change what surrounds them.

24 Once upon a time an expanse of agricultural fields occupied the land on which arose Zingonia. In 1964 Renzo Zingone decided to build here his new industrial town but still today the agricultural background it is very important for this place. Around the limits of buildings, there are many cultures. From the SWOT analyses we have learned that the locals opportunities are linked with the availability of green open spaces between the buildings and the human potentialities (skills, abilities that came from local or international background). Zingonia has already won its first challenge: now there are urban gardens. Our proposal it is to develop this system in an urban farm to improve local production. The real goals are also the wellness and health of the population, the creation of a connection between people that came from abroad with the land and the improvement of a collaborative and sustainable community. To show how our project can start to act we have chosen to create a new urban farm between Corso Africa and Via Oceania. The 2560 m2 area surrounded with dwelling-houses, and approximately 200 people lives in this neighborhood . We proposed to give some place for urban farming beside urban gardening in this place, so we divided the field and planed not only vegetable beds, but some stockyards too for various animals. Regarding to our plan this field could give place to 14 chickens, 15 rabbits, 5 turkeys, 5 gooses, 8 goats and 2 cows. Also fruit trees could take places here, and under their shades the people could gather and have picnic. The flower beds not only would please the eye, but also would play an important role in the pollination too. This it is only an example of the strategy, the elements that built the farm could be used in different solution.

Shanghai Lingan park competition Status: Year: Typology: Team:

Idea october 2015 competition Underground Studio e Net 16

The intention of this project is to create a landscape which is attractive, elegant, and capable of allowing many tasks at once, but also able to play them all in their own time and on their own pace. The idea of creating a Qpark consists precisely in this: to generate an initial quiet, beautiful, attractive condition that has the potential to evolve quickly, to meet opportunities for everyone and once completed the task (always different every day) to quietly return in the initial condition. An alive park, then, and able to improve the lives of its patrons. To achieve this effect, the project covers unusual territories, that only we are able to cross. Territories in which new forms of “doing landscape are sought for, obtained hybridizing nature with technology and actively involving people. How? Our parks are the result of a mixture of three main ingredients: Nature, Data, Interactions.

N Elements of the Qpark

_ Nature is used in its essence, that is, in the particular state in which it is found when we do not observe it; _ The data: Each particular place produces specific and unique data (location, number and type of people, rainfall, type of wind, solar radiation, air quality, soil texture, topography, waterways position and their activities etc. .) _ Interactions. Our world is no longer classic. It is no longer possible to understand it according to traditional criteria.

The topic is the project of the bus station of Bologna, a place that today appears in a deep degraded status and excluded from the modern life logics. The formal research of solutions begins from the studies led on the bending of a paper sheet, in particular from the study of its resistant behavior through the changing of bending. The paper helped us in the project process as a central issue; we wanted follow it’s characteristics to merge in a unique solution the structural capacity and aesthetic effect. The bus station and all the modern doors to towns have to be perceived as “livable infrastructures”. Therefore these spaces are considered as knots connected and every time through from streams. The system that had created the project has as goals the creation of an integrated space that permit free circulation and orientation.

Monteleone di Puglia’s diffused hotel Status: Year: Typology: Team:

Idea July 2015 competition Underground Studio e Net 16

How is it important for a town the creation of a diffused hotel? The system appears as the result of a collection of discarded living units that seem to be active only when they will host tourist and therefore the probability of not sustainability of the project is very high. This project wants to consider the reality of natural complex systems that contemplates different energetic stadiums, got changing a bit some parameters following the conditions that surround us. Therefore, the rooms of the diffused hotel will be used in different ways following the local and actual needs of the inhabitants and of the tourist. All these offers could be managed with an app for smartphones‌.

Casalecchio Social housing Status: Year: Typology: Team:

Idea february 2015 academic exam Laura Manoni, Chiara Carretti, Veronica Venturi, Davide D’ovidio, Giulia Marzani tutor: Santangelo Angela

The project wants to build a connection between two urban sectors very different from each other, in the landscape of Casalecchio di Reno (Bo). This area seems to be a traffic knot where you can change transport means and also it presents great service opportunities. The intervention wants to revitalize the place transforming it from a crossing place to an area voted to the waiting time and recreation of the travelers, improving also the comforts of the local inhabitants and of the user of the new social housing, expected in the project. The social housing wants to host senior citizens alone in small living unit collocated in a building where they can share time and some room together. Following some attentions, they can be included in the active life of the neighborhood, helping them to lead a high quality life possibly autonomous.
