orn on December 13, 1989, in Reading, Pennsylvania, Taylor Swift's family moved to nearby Wyomissing where she started crafting songs at age 5, and at age 16, released her debut album. Hits like "Love Story" and "You Belong With Me" appealed to country and pop fans alike and helped fuel the multiplatinum success of her albums, with Fearless the 2009 top-seller. Swift later became a pop juggernaut with the 2014 album 1989 . With her next effort, Swift seemed to step further away from her country music roots. She released 1989, her most popsounding record to date, in October 2014. "Shake It Off" proved to be one of the catchiest tracks of the year, reaching the top of the pop charts. Swift continued to play with her public persona with the track "Bad Blood," which features Kendrick Lamar. In the video for the song, which debuted at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards and doubles as a noir action short, she appears as a tough, cutthroat character called "Catastrophe." Swift recruited a number of top names to appear in the video as well, including Karlie Kloss, Cindy Crawford and Lena Dunham. In an age of low album sales, 1989 has gone on to move more than five million copies in the U.S. alone.

TAYLOR SWIFT In February 2016, Swift opened up the 58th Annual Grammy Awards with another track from 1989, "Out of the Woods." Having received awards pretelecast for Best Music Video and Best Pop Vocal Album, later in the evening Swift won another Grammy for Album of the Year, making music history as the first woman to win the award twice!

THE RISE AND RISE OF FIVE SECONDS OF SUMMER By syuebdin

F

ive Seconds of Summer are a phenomenon. In

four short years they have gone from being four teenage boys rehearsing in their parents’ garages in Sydney, Australia, to becoming one of the biggest, loudest, and best pop-rock-punk bands, with millions of fans all over the world, a Number 1 debut album that has sold three million copies, and more than five million single sale so far. But the big numbers don’t stop there. Since 2011, the band has performed at a variety of radio shows, award ceremonies, and TV appearance, and has played hundreds of gigs at several of the world’s largest arenas and international stadiums with the greatest boy band of all time, One Direction. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet. Let’s rewind! Before the fame and worldwide tours, before 5 Seconds of Summer had even been shortened to 5SOS , they were just three boys who knew each other from various classes while attending their secondary school, Norwest Christian College in Sydney, Australia. The trio of Mike, Luke, and Cal began rehearsing after school, but they couldn’t think of a name. Originally they wanted to call the group Bromance because they all felt a special brotherly connection when they first started jamming and wanted a name to reflect that chemistry. As Calum remembers about their unique bro-show at the time, “The three of us went to the same school in New South Wale in Sydney. Michael, Luke and I, and in 9th grade Luke started posting some covers just by himself on acoustic guitar, and Michael was like, “Hey man, wanna start a band?” and Luke was like, “OK”, and I think I just kind of wedged myself in there somehow. We were just messing around on YouTube putting up covers. We booked a gig at some pub (The Annandale Hotel) and we needed a drummer, since we booked it without having a drummer. Michael sent a Facebook message to Ashton, who he knew through one of our friends, and was like, “Hey man, there’s gonna be so many people t the gig we just booked. Would you like to come drum with us?” and Ashton was like, “Hell yeah, that sounds sick!”, and then 12 people showed up and it was the worst gig that had ever happened!

It was my first time ever playing on a bass, because I played guitar but I was forced to ply bass because I was the least good on guitar. The band laughs about this first gig now, especially after realizing immediately that their ‘bromance’ was something special, a kindred meeting of spirits that they could all feel right away. “When we met, we realized we’re the same. We knew we didn’t necessarily belong”, Ash said highlighting that their tiny community were they grew up didn’t always appreciate teenage boys playing loud punk rock, who didn’t necessarily fit in. Luke agrees; “It’s been incredible for a rockpop band like us to come from such a small school in a small town and to be able to do what we do. “ After a few gigs, and a “little following”, thanks to the YouTube sessions, the quarters were on

their way to becoming local celebrities. Before they began performing their own original music, they boys posted cover of Blink-182 and Mayday Parade songs, sometimes using two acoustic guitars, with Ash on the bongos. The video that

took off was their unplugged version of a song by R&B artist Chris Brown (ft Justin Bieber); ‘Next 2 You’, which has earned over 2.5 million YouTube vies since being posted in July 2011.

“We were building a fan base, but we sort of wanted to be like a live band known for our live performances” said Ashton, talking about the band’s early live gigs. “That was the biggest job, transferring a YouTube audience to people who

will actually come down our show”. But Ash had no need to worry. As it happened, a certain Louis Tomlinson had seen the boys’ YouTube clips and tweeted about them. “Louis found us on YouTube and was like, ‘we should do something with this

band’, said Calum. “It’s crazy… because nothing really happens to bands from Western Sydney.”

WORK HARD Work hard, play hard. That seems to be the motto that Mike, Cal, Luke, and Ash live by. When they are not playing gigs, writing, or recording, there is usually some kind of craziness or mischief going on. Whether it’s Michael’s hilarious live feeds of his video gaming, an ugly selfie competition, on their splashing swimming pool antics, it’s always party central with the boys, and always posted for their fans.

Given half a chance, the boys love to dress up. Who can forget the fun they had in their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle outfit when recording the video for ‘Don’t Stop’? the turtles became a 5SOS obsession. Luke knew exactly who would play which turtle: Ashton got to be Donatello, Calum was Raphael, Michael was Michaelangelo obviously, and he chose Leonardo. Then, on the last night of the 1D Where We are Tour, they shocked the Miami crowd by rocking onstage in their turtle outfit.

PLAY HARD On a day off in LA, they switched it up by wearing superhero costumes. They toured the city goofing around hilariously and looking for ways to combat evil. They even took their plastic dog Ketchup to a groomer and got the staff to give him a bath!

[5SOS FACTS] ON April 9, 2014, THE SHE LOOKS SO PERFECT EP DEBUTED AT NUMBER 2 ON THE BILLBOARD 200. 5SOS HAVE BROKEN AMERICA BEFORE EVEN RELEASING THEIR DEBUT ALBUM!

ASH, CALUM, LUKE, and MICHAEL have to pinch themselves to make sure it’s really happening. Day after day they encounter the most devoted and amazing fans in the world-and there are literally millions of them. The guys certainly don’t take their fans for granted, because they still remember all too clearly when they were playing to a dozen or so people in a seedy bar. “The fans own us,” says Luke. “All the stuff we’ve achieved through our career is because of them. It’s like the fans are doing the work behind the scenes.” Whichever way you want to count their fans, their numbers are astonishing. The band has nearly three million followers on Instagram and five million on Twitter and that’s not including the guys personal accounts. No band has ever used social media like 5SOS does. They want to make sure their fans know they are appreciated. They detail everything that happens in their lives, retweet their fans’ posts, and express their big love for them all.

The band tries to follow any of the fans who follow them on social media, but what they love best is being able to meet them in person. In fact, they go out of their way to make themselves available for pictures, hugs, and few words with as many fans as they can. They have set up impromptu acoustic concerts in city parks just hours before a concert and, in one amazing stunt, they even worked in the box office selling tickets to their own show! In turn, the 5SOS “family”, as the fans call themselves, take pretty good care of their idols. They send pizza to the boys’ hotel room and shower them with gifts. “Our fans give us koala bear toys to remind us of home,” says Ash. “They know what we need”. Sometimes, though they can be a little strange. In LA, two male strippers dressed as policemen were sent to serenade the boys, who insist that the odd moment doesn’t stop them loving all their fans.

At the live shows the relationship between the band and their fanatical supporters create a unique attitude. Michael’s tweet “Real bands save fans; real fans save bands” has become a motto for the 5SOS family. There are banners with those words at every concert, alongside hundreds of others, professing love for the group. These are real fans: they make lots of noise, dance themselves crazy, and sing along to every song. “It was dream of ours to be up on stage playing our own original music and to have crowds sing our songs back at us!” reveal Ash. “At our first show in Sydney that happened and it was the most amazing thing ever.”

“IT WAS A DREAM OF OURS TO BE UP ON A STAGE PLAYING OUR OWN ORIGINAL MUSIC AND TO HAVE CROWDS SING OUR SONG BACK AT US” Ashton

Even at the massive stadium concerts when 5SOS open for 1D, the boys are able to recognize their fans. “You can tell which ones are ours. They dress like us,” says Calum. “They’ll wear bandanas and they’ll wear flannel shirts tied round their waist and they’ll have like different colored hair, so it’s pretty cool.” “ REAL BANDS SAVE FANS; REAL FANS SAVE BANDS” HAS BECOME A MOTTO FOR THE 5SOS FAMILY.” Michael

Around the world, fans have been getting together to swap their 5SOS stories and to watch and listen to the band on screen. Imagine how frustrated the boys felt that they hosted their own super-fan convention. They called it Derp-Con and it gave lucky fans a chance to “fight ninjas. Internet haters, and join in some serious banding.” Of course, it also gave the guys an opportunity to meet their favorite people- their fans.

Like a hero welcome, successful group EXO phenomenon exploded Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur in front of over 14,000 fans during a concert EXO PLANET # 2 The EXO'LuXion World Tour in Malaysia on Saturday night. Since its introduction in 2012, this was their first concert in Malaysia are necessarily the most anticipated. So, it is not surprising glimpses as they appear on stage at 8.20pm, the crowd screamed with all their might.

Not to mention their spontaneous action on the stage is very amusing when they tease each other. Not just entertain the audience with a song exclusively prepared jokes even more! There undoubtedly, this self-contained groups from various angles and not just singing or dancing alone. Similarly, their smartness in line with their talents.

It was no longer necessary EXO compared with other groups that are in South Korea. Obviously, they were at a Witnessing the sight charms group comprises Chanyeol, level that was too much and probably not a rival to other Sehun, Baekhyun, Do Kyung-soo, Zhang Yixing, Suho, Kai, newcomers. Chen and Xiumin and that, then answer the question of The most eye-catching is that the musical side of their why they are quite crazy fans. actual strength. That's a significant difference with the The group turned out to be very smart when it comes to pop group EXO other direction because they are more their passion on stage. No gimmicks, the aura of each of likely to R & B genre. its members were able to clear the audience was impressed. R & B itself rather than music that is easy to master, but However, one thing for sure is EXO very well in chapter tempting. Gestures, eye games, body language and their singing is no doubt too sexy to dilute their fans.

the group appears to be successful in doing so. Each beat of the song they somehow prove that EXO is not a typical K-Pop.

Also impressive are very strong even when its members actually standing solo though. Not just a team, some members had time to showcase another side of their talent.

To be sure, members incessantly praised Malaysia especially the fans here. For them, the support given on that night would be the sweetest history to embed them in your heart.

It includes a full presentation of three members, namely Baekhyun melancholic, Do, and Suho. While crooning My Answer, the entire audience immediately fell in love with their singing sonority piano accompanied by Baekhyun.

"We are very happy to finally be able to come back and fulfill our dreams of fans watching the show. We really like to stay here with a view that is quite interesting. Most important, you are the most amazing audience! "They said.

Earlier, Kai and Sehun rocked the stage with contemporary dance performance full of soul. Kai managed to captivate the audience, especially when dancing on stage aqueous and wetting himself.

EXO also had to ask the audience to not just stiff, especially sitting in the chair and asked them to stand. What's more, by the time the end of the concert, the song is dedicated almost all up-tempo.

It's very feasible that they were given the grand stage sets and filled with colorful props. Their performance is quite unified and complementary world-class production.

At concerts for over two hours, EXO present their hit songs including Overdose, History, El Dorado, Do not Go, Play Boy, Baby Do not Cry, Unknown, My Turn To Cry, The Star, Exodus, Peter Pan, XOXO, Lucky, 3.6.5, Christmas Day and First Snow.

Indeed, technically, no one can deny the Korean production. Every inch of the stage to be considered very carefully to ensure that it is satisfactory. Of lighting, hydraulic stage, stage rise up to the sound system was amazing. In fact, the rhythm of each song beats as the heart of every viewer.

Not to be forgotten, Miracles in December, Two Moons, Machine, Let Out The Best, Run, Growl, Wolf, MAMA and sessions 'encore' with the song Promise and Angel.
