SES Conference & Expo returned to
its Midwest home in Chicago on November 12–16. The conference attracted over 1050 attendees. SES Chicago’s keynote speaker, Avinash Kaushik, Google’s Digital Marketing Evangelist, shared his perspective on balancing multiple media channels and leveraging the right analytics to deliver relevance to customers to over 600 attendees. The 2012 speakers line-up included over 100 experts from companies such as Google, Microsoft, Marin, Acquisio, to name a few. The conference covered topics such as integrated marketing, content marketing, the rise of mobile marketing, and many more.
Key industry stats that were talked about at SES Chicago included: • 52% of marketers plan on creating a mobile/ tablet-optimized website • 48% of marketers plan on increasing engagement through mobile advertising • 42% of business executives make purchasing decisions based on an online video • 69% of the time if you rank in the top 30 it will not be consistent in other GEO areas
