Physically it is a nice device and easy to control, it combines a slim handle around 7 inches in length with the led blue light unit on the end. This allows you to easily direct the light beam to the problem acne affected areas. It incorporates a high/low frequency modulator in the handle and can be operated in continuous or high - low mode. To help in timing your treatment a buzzer incorporated in the lamp sounds every 4 minutes when being used in continuous mode ans when used in high - low mode it sounds every 2 minutes to help in timing your treatment. As with all blue light therapy, the blue light emitted from Baby Quasar targets and kills the acne-causing bacteria treating inflammatory acne that has not responded to other therapies. I was highly skeptical of this product when I purchased it but I was so tired of having acne in my 30s despite trying everything (topical prescription creams, facials, dermatologist visits, expensive fancy creams) and spending LOTS of money in the process so I broke down and got this. I purchased this product and have used it for a week (4 times this week) on my problem areas and my acne is completely resolved. Sure, I have the spots left where blemishes used to be but the blemishes themselves are gone.
This lamp is a quality product that should stand the test of time, it good to look at and nice to handle. The price is at the top of the range for acne lamps but the quality components used to manufacture it justify the cost, it is not a device that has been put together with cheap components that can be sourced anywhere. It has 24 violet/blue 3mm LEDs, not as many as some of the other lamps on the market but as it can be directed directly to the area needing attention it makes up for the lesser quantity of LEDs.
