Welcome to our first issue of the Set That Magazine. Did I ever see myself as the publisher and editor of an online magazine? No! One thing at a time!! However, as our set editors browse and curate over a million products to build wonderful sets and curated product lists for our shoppers on the website, we decided to “curate the curated” and launch an inspirational shopping magazine!
Easier shopping
In this issue, we have brought together the products and sets that have attracted us and hope that you agree with our choices. We want to provide you with a totally interactive reading experience where, whenyouseesomethingyoulikeinthemagazine, youcanclickonitto buy it. No searching the fine print at the bottom of the page for a web address, no having to fire up another device to make the purchase. Just click through to our partnering stores and pop the product into your cart!
Inspirational content
For this first issue, we have included products, sets and articles from all our categories - Women’s and Men’s Fashion, Gifts, Kids, Home and Beauty products. As we learn which categories you are most interested in, we hope that we can tailor the magazine to be one of your favourites every month!

the myriad of ways your superglued smartphone pal can help you with your fashion choices. Let’s face it, when it comes to organising our closet, preparing outfits, and knowing when that new little black dress is just one too many, some of us are just completely hopeless. Beds become warzones of discarded clothing items every morning, your favourite jeans are hanging next to that awful top the salesperson swore you looked good in, and your printed scarf collection takes up half of your available hanging space.
To get us all on track, we’ve looked for
four of the best fashion apps for your smartphone. From wardrobe organisers to trend spotters, these apps deserve a place on your favourite device. For all the details about these apps, check out our blog called

Checks, please This year's interpretation of the check pattern will have you begging 'please' just like you did for Issey Miyake's pleats. Checks have become more fashionforward than school uniforms and more modern with cuts and colours. Cuts now accentuate the feminine shape in loose draping materials producing a very different aesthetic from the usually stoic images of the past.
Kenzo | $482
In recent fashion shows, Carven,OscardelaRentaand Derek Lam all featured the checks trend. The statement this year is a more playful check pattern. Clashing of colours and patterns is allowed as well as checks fused with lace, silk, and fun embellishments.

Why not get him something that he can wear to work and when he goes out, something that’s suitable for all occasions, like a watch. Men aren’t normally too fussed about the brand but rather its aesthetics and whether it fits properly or not.

Wining and Dining
Alcohol and food are great choices. A nice spirit that you know he would only buy on a very special occasion or a special bottle of wine. If he still prefers beer to spirits, a handpicked selection of specialty beers from around the world can also be a great option. And a special candlelit dinner made at home is always a winning suggestion - they always love that there is no bill to pick up and the dishes can wait until morning!
Some men don’t like to spend too much on what they wear. Here’s where you come in handy. Buy them something they want or need, that is made with good, quality materials. This way you can finally get him to wear the jacket you’ve been nagging him to buy for months.

"
The team at I Spy Kids have consulted parents and paediatric experts to find out which products are important and constructive to children and themselves. In doing that, they have formulated a set of product criteria categories to help choose which products are offered for sale for the development of different skills. Each product they sell goes through a careful selection process and must meet at least two of the product criteria to be included in their store.
The simplest toy, one which even the youngest child can operate, is called a grandparent.

Mixing Vintage with Modern Mixing styles
One of the greatest aspects of interior design is its ability to create and reinvent spaces unique to you. You can achieve this with new furniture, paint or design, or by reinventing the old by adding hints of the new. In fact, mixing old with the new can produce an eclectic harmony in your home furnishings. Decoration or furniture of another era can add that bit of character and charm that is sometimes lacking in mass modern design. John Lewis| $365
Zanui| $90
House of Fraser| $82
Living Room Spaces
We recommend mixing your modern sofas with an antique coffee table in rustic colours or a vintage trunk for an interesting focal point in the living area. Vintage side tables and console tables blended with modern-designed lamps and mirrors promote the unexpected cohesion of the old and new in your interior. 30
Kitchen and Dining Spaces
The more interesting part in shaping this trend is the kitchen or dining area. There's something about this part of the home that makes it easier to establish harmony between the old and the new. An antique wood dining table with futuristic chairs or vintage upholstered hosts chairs placed at each end of the table can create the balance you need.
Balance your choices
The key is creating an overall balance and avoiding time period confusion. You can play along straight lines of modern furnishings with the sweeping curves of vintage decors, or you can match the overall colours or textures of your current pieces.
