Rehab, Respite & Rock’n’Roll Supporting clients to achieve their goals

Since 2009, Steps Ahead Care & Support have supported clients who have sustained life changing injuries to achieve their goals and aspirations, regardless of how big or small they may seem.

We understand that for a lot of clients, it may be more difficult to access staycations, holidays abroad or gigs and festivals. In more recent years, we have developed our service to enable us to support clients on these trips, which includes extensive research, planning and preparation.

Recently, a case manager approached us to arrange the trip of a lifetime for one of her clients, something she had struggled to do for over a decade. An incredible amount of planning behind the scenes went into this trip, from booking an accessible hotel (not as easy as it sounds!), to renting and organising the delivery of mobility equipment and drawing up countless risk assessments. Through sheer determination, we made this happen for our client and we enjoyed every second of making his dream come true! In his words, he said

Over the years, we have had people who don’t receive support from us approach us to deliver this service. Making sure that we inject fun into any client’s rehab journey is central to what we do at Steps Ahead - we believe this is what keeps clients engaged and aids motivation to make every journey a success.

Whether a client or not, we will work tirelessly to make anyone’s goal a reality. ■
