ROBE CREASE-FREE FOX-EYE CURLS FOUNDATION CONCEALER

What they say:

Wanting the perfect salon finish to your hair but not wanting the heat damage that comes with it is one of the biggest beauty dilemmas we face. But, by using a dressing gown tie on wet hair, you can mimic those curls with minimal effort and keep your hair in tip-top condition.

Our verdict:

When I was at school I used to use so much heat on my hair, and every heatless curl method that I tried didn’t give me the curl shape I was looking for. Dressing gown curls have literally changed my life, they look amazing, and save so much time!

At the beginning I didn’t know how to wrap them properly so wouldn’t be able to sleep comfortably with them in, but after finding my own sweet spot, I am obsessed with it!

What they say:

Watching your makeup crease or dry out during the day is a recipe for heartbreak. But, by switching up the order in which you do your makeup (applying translucent powder before your foundation) you’re setting yourself up for an all-day flawless finish.

Our verdict:

I’ve been doing this stage-makeup hack for a while, and as someone who gets particularly oily as the day goes on causing my makeup to separate, this is a game-changer. I’d previously seen it used on red carpet looks quite a few times and was sceptical that I’d never seen anyone I know actually do it. However, I am officially a convert, because my makeup looks freshly set for as long as I need it to and my pores are completely blurred! I’d say the only downside is that it’s best to save this trick for when you actually need it, as it makes makeup feel very heavy, despite not looking it.

What they say:

This under-eye concealer application method claims to give you a lifted fox-eye effect as seen on the likes of Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid. Apply concealer as a dot on the innercorner of your eye to brighten, and a clean, diagonal line on the outside.

Our verdict:

I love the way this hack both elongates my eyes (no surgery needed!) and adds an extra something to even the simplest of eye makeup looks. As you’re technically using less product, it even helps to prevent creasing throughout the day.

It’s so easy to do and is more about changing the way you do your under-eye concealer rather than adding in unnecessary steps, and I’ll definitely be bringing it into my everyday routine.
