Original Artwork: Nearly 100 SEWE painters and sculptors will display their work in the Fine Art Gallery and Grand Hall of the Charleston Place Hotel. As always, this is some of the finest work in the wildlife art genre, with a wide variety of styles, media and subject matter represented. Enjoy getting to know the artists who will be with their work all weekend.

Quick Draw / Speed Sculpt and Live

Auction: A unique opportunity to watch the talented SEWE artists at work. Participating artists will have just one hour to create a piece from start to finish. Red Fox Fine Art Special Exhibit: Red Fox Fine Art, a leading gallery of 19th and 20th century sporting paintings and sculpture based in Middleburg, Virginia, presents a special exhibit of American and British sporting art, including the work of Frank Benson, Aiden Ripley, Ogden Pleissner, Sir Alfred Munnings, Percival Rosseau and John M. Tracy.

Fine Sporting Arms: Fine Sporting Arms will be on display and available for purchase by highly regarded manufacturers and dealers Griffin & Howe and Beretta on the second floor of Charleston Place Hotel. Jarrett Rifles and Caesar Guerini will both have displays at the SEWE Marketplace in the Gaillard Center.

SEWE Marketplace: A mix of creations by outstanding local, regional and national artisans and craftsmen including handcrafted furniture, woodworks, leather goods, jewelry, knife makers, metal works, photographers and more unique Southern made finds.

Jeff Corwin: Television personality, nature conservationist and author, Jeff Corwin joins us once again for live presentations on SEWE weekend in the Gaillard Center. Friday, 2 pm | Saturday, 12:30 and 3:30 pm

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary: Busch Wildlife Sanctuary will introduce the wonders of the natural ecosystems and give SEWE attendees an up-close look at alligators, bobcats, foxes, birds of prey, snakes and much more. Friday, 11 am | Sunday, 11 am

Quail Village: NEW SEWE is excited to create the Quail Village at Brittlebank Park led by the South Carolina Bobwhite Initiative. This group of exhibitors is dedicated to reversing the decline of the bobwhite quail population and hopes to inspire property owners and managers, conservationists, and wildlife enthusiasts to be part of this once-in-ageneration challenge. 5th Annual Lowcountry Social: Dust off your boots for the fifth annual Lowcountry Social event and come celebrate the best of the South. Enjoy BBQ from renowned pit masters, bluegrass music by the fire with the Bluestone Ramblers and an open bar under the stars at Brittlebank Park. Each attendee will be entered to win prizes throughout the evening. By ticket only. Hosted by Home Team BBQ, Williams Knife Co., SEWE and YETI®. Saturday 7:30 - 10:30 pm

Sheep and Duck Herding Demos:

Watch collies artfully muster sheep and ducks through various obstacles with only a whistle and a few commands. Friday & Saturday, 10:30 am and 2 pm | Sunday, 10:30 pm

Two Tank DockDogs® Competitions:

Once again, SEWE will host the only two tank DockDogs® event east of the Mississippi. Dogs of all kinds and skill levels will compete in various water jumping competitions. “Waves” of competition will be held throughout the day all weekend with finals beginning at 3:30 pm on Sunday. Friday & Saturday, 10 am - 5:30 pm | Sunday, 10 am - 4 pm

Retriever Demonstrations: Dogs of various breeds and ages put on demonstrations of retrieving skills. Friday & Saturday, 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm | Sunday, 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm.

Dog Demonstrations with Wildrose

Kennels: New to SEWE this year, the Wildrose Brittish Labrador demo pack with professionals of canine nutrition, Purina ProPlan, will be presenting its unique, balanced training techniques for upland and waterfowl gundogs and adventure companions. Friday & Saturday, 11:30 and 3:30 pm | Sunday, 11:30 am and 2pm

Sporting and Marine Village: Nearly 50 vendors and exhibitors, including hunting, fishing and safari guides, and outdoor outfitters. Also included are exhibitors that focus on fishing, water sports and marine-based activities.

Raffle Tent: In partnership with Ducks Unlimited, visit the raffle tent to purchase tickets and view exciting items including, but not limited to, outdoor products, excursions and fine sporting arms.

Kid Zone: Brittlebank Park will house an expanded kid’s activities section including pony and camel rides and exotic petting zoo plus other fun, educational activities and programs for kids of all ages.

Kid Zone Stage: The Kid Zone Stage will put a spotlight on various local authors and librarians, who will share stories inspired by nature and wildlife. Educational puppet shows will be hosted here, too.

Live Music: Enjoy great bluegrass music by the Bluestone Ramblers throughout the weekend.

Copley Fine Art Auctions Decoy Exhibit

and Auction Preview: Copley Fine Art Auctions, the world’s leading American sporting art auction company is hosting its 2022 Art Decoy Exhibit and Auction Preview during SEWE weekend at the Charleston Marriott Hotel. Copley specializes in antique decoys and 19th- and 20th-century American, sporting, and wildlife paintings. Copley’s biannual sales are the premier events for collectors of sporting art, decoys, fishing collectibles, and other related folk art. Quality objects start at $100 and range to over a million dollars. Friday, February 18 through Sunday, February 20 starting at 10 am at the Marriott Hotel.

Decoys: A number of the most respected dealers of antique and working decoys will be exhibiting. Emerald Ballroom about the important role raptors, such as falcons, eagles and hawks, play in our ecosystem. Friday, 11 am and 3 pm | Saturday, 10:30 am and 1:30 pm | Sunday, 1 pm

Conservation Exhibits: The Conservation Tent, made possible through the support of the Henry and Sylvia Yaschick Foundation, Inc., will house over 40 conservation groups, with staff and volunteers present to educate attendees about their area of expertise and the services they provide. Various wildlife rescue groups, many with live animals and birds to see up-close, will be exhibiting, along with Ducks Unlimited and SC Department of Natural Resources.

Fresh on the Menu | Certified South

Carolina: Hosted by the Lee Bros., watch more than a dozen of South Carolina’s greatest chefs, farmers, and home cooks demonstrate how to prepare some of their favorite recipes with locally grown and produced ingredients. Sample products from the

producers, processors and vendors that make up the Certified SC program.

CJ Lotz, Garden & Gun senior editor, and Kelly S. Turner, curator and artistic

director of the Garden & Gun exhibition Birdwatching, sit down with South Carolina author, poet, and ornithologist J. Drew Lanham. Discussion will include Lanham’s approach to birding, its connections to history and race, and his role in the Birdwatching exhibition— which incorporates written and recorded portions of his original poetry.

Sunday’s event features Garden & Gun contributing editor T. Edward Nickens in conversation with Mike Neiduski, the Southeastern director of regional development for the Ruffed Grouse Society and the American Woodcock Society. Neiduski is also a North American Versatile Hunting Dog judge, and a seasoned expert in the field. Saturday, 2 pm | Sunday, 2 pm

Cocktails will be served during the events. Following the conversations, guests are invited to shop a limited collection of fine sporting and outdoor goods.

Birds of a Feather Ladies Brunch
