FLORIDIANS OPPOSE ELIMINATION OF COLLEGE DIVERSITY PROGRAMS

Anew poll shows Floridians oppose a GOP-led effort to prohibit public colleges and universities from supporting campus activities or programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and critical race theory.

The survey from the University of North Florida’s Public Opinion Research Lab shows 61% opposing the efforts with 35% in support. Republicans though support the legislation with 56%, while Democrats oppose it with 79% and Independnets with 68%.

“Despite elevated support among Republicans, many voters we spoke to are not so thrilled about some of [Gov.
