Beginning and Intermediate Mandarin
Mandarin Beg. 2 (Gr4 – MS; Y5 – MS)
Due to interest in Mandarin Chinese, we are offering a pilot program that will be meeting two times a week for the semester. We will be dividing the classes into three age groups: Sr. K – Gr. 2 (Yr1 – Yr3), Gr. 3 – Gr. 5 (Yr4 – Yr. 6) and Middle School, and providing a Beginners program and an Intermediate program for each age group. Unlike “Fun with Chinese”, these will meet two times a week and will include conversation, reading and writing. These programs are designed to be a more rigorous offering for those who have a genuine interest in learning Mandarin Chinese. It is our hope that those who finish the Beginner’s program will enroll the following year in the Intermediate program. This would ultimately provide a child a two year introduction to Mandarin Chinese. We are hopeful that this new offering will be an answer to the many inquiries that have been made over the past year concerning Mandarin Chinese. Please avail yourself of this important offering.
