Students for a Free Tibet UK (SFT UK) works in solidarity with the Tibetan people in their struggle for freedom and independence. The SFT UK network is part of the international SFT movement of young people and activists around the world. Through education, grassroots organizing, and non-violent direct action, we campaign for Tibetans’ fundamental right to political freedom. Our role is to empower and train youth as leaders in the worldwide movement for social justice. We're run by a volunteer board and use our own resources to expose and raise awareness about the situation in Tibet, organise grassroots training an education in our university network and the Tibetan community, do political and online campaigning for Tibet, organise events and build the movement by networking with similar causes.
