EVENTS ACQUISITION The British Rio Tinto Company Limited (RTC) acquired from the Spanish State the ownership of the rich mines of Riotinto.
CONSTRUCTION To accommodate the miners and their families, the village of La Atalaya was founded near the mines.
EXPLOITATION The open-pit exploitation of the massive sulfides in the area began, which would lead to deep drilling through banks.
PEAK Mass immigration working in the mines resulted in a considerable increase in the population of La Atalaya and Minas de Riotinto.
NATIONALIZATION The open-pit exploitation of the massive sulfides in the area began, which would lead to deep drilling through banks.
DESTRUCTION Due to projects for the expansion of Corta Atalaya, La Atalaya was demolished.
CESSATION When it was estimated that the reserves of the reef would have already been exhausted, the activity of mining on the site ceased.
TOURISM C o r t a At a l aya j o i n e d t h e tourist route of the so-called Mining Park.
REOPENING The mine was said to be operated again before the end of 2013, but the plan didn't work.

SITE ANALYSIS
Renewal of the Mines of Rio Tinto
PIT AND RESIDENCE Originally the exploitation of the deposits was carried out through underground work. A railway line of more than 84 kilometers that ended in the port of the Huelva was built to transport mines.

Corta Atalaya
Since at least 1994 it has been flooded up to the 16th ring.
Population Minas de Riotinto: 4,724 The tourism of Minas de Riotinto brings social and economic change that has restructured its labor market.
As a small town that has changed with the rise and fall of the mining industry, the mine pit carries important memories of the town’s residents.
The surrounding area of the mine is facing serious environmental problems, and there is an extreme lack of green plants.
The current tourist route is limited to visits in the town and views from the edge of the mine.

Geometry
There is a high degree of connection between the atomic structure of the ore crystal and some basic geometric forms, including the Platonic solid and the Archimedes derived.
The classical result is that only five convex regular polyhedral exist. In ancient Greece, Plato first associated convex regular polyhedral with natural elements.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT A crystal is a solid where the atoms form a periodic arrangement. A crystal structure (an arrangement of atoms in a crystal) is characterized by its unit cell, a small imaginary box containing one or more atoms in a specific spatial arrangement. The unit cells are stacked in three-dimensional space to form the crystal.
T h e c o m b i n a t i o n o f Tr u n c a t e d O c t a h e d r o n (t{3,4}), Truncated Tetrahedron (t{3,3}) and Cuboctahedron (r{4,3} or rr{3,3}) could be a choice because of their huge diferrence in shape but with balanced individual size and tightlyconnected net composition.

"Since the mine closed, I have been unemployed for several years, and finally found a job as a salesman in the town, but I have to say that I am not very good at dealing with people. If there is a job that allows me to continue to operate the minecart, I think I will do it without hesitation." "There used to be rich pyrite resources here, and the acidic environment caused by long-term excavation and mineral burning made it an excellent Martian ecological simulation base. A new type of quarantine dwelling attached to the transportation system can limit the travellers’ trajectory after entry and prevent them from crossing the city when their health status is unknown. It stops the disorderly spread of adventive viruses in the city environment to the greatest extent, and helps to control the epidemic. More importantly, people's lives have been temporarily blank due to quarantine. Peolple exists only as an independent individual when in quarantine. This is a rare opportunity, that they can leave behind all the labels that social life has put on themselves and enjoy the space and time of being alone. People can choose to rest, review themselves, or improve themselves. The quarantine dwelling also encourages people to socialize with strangers in their individual state and experience a completely different way of life.

The architects made rich theoretical studies on the sustainable architectures. Jørn Utzon, as an outstanding architect who designed Sydney Opera House, established the theory called” additive architecture”, which concentrated on modular architecture.

Single Pitch Single pitch structure is added to each container. With different direction of the pitch roof and designed openings on the roof, interior spaces can get more natural light.
With the function of theatre and exhibition, the space is exactly like a terminal of inspiration and ideas. Some people bring ideas and express themselves here, while others come to watch and learn. Different thinking meet and collide here to create something new.
Public Platform All the blocks are connected by a public platform with shared central performance space.

Different openings or corrugated panels can be installed on the single pitch based on the natural light need for each function.
