To honour the sacrifices of those who fought during World War One, SCC holds a Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph in Esplanade Park every year on 11 November. Attendees read excerpts from the Pericles Eulogy and war poems, For the Fallen and In Flanders Fields, to pay tribute to the members of their armed forces who died in the line of duty.

This year, those in attendance included British High Commissioner HE Ms Kara Owen, Australia’s Deputy High Commissioner to Singapore Ms Kate Duff, UK Defence Adviser Commander Martin Moore, SAF Veterans League Lieutenant Swee Boon Chai, Defence Attaché, US Embassy Singapore Captain So Won Ahn, and New Zealand Defence Adviser to Singapore Group Captain Greg Burroughs.
